Location, friendly staff, great food.

Steep narrow stairs to rooms. Restricted parking on site , but public car park behind pub and parking fee reimbursed.

The staff were all amazing. They couldn't do enough to make our stay enjoyable. It was a very good value. The room was exceptionally clean and well presented. We were given a good choice of breakfast options, and the bar menu looked excellent. It is a few minutes' walk to the market square. As it is an old building, there are quite steep steps up to the rooms and no air conditioning. The hotel provided fans for the rooms.

Unfortunately, the shower was very weak, and the water flow was a bit intermittent. The road outside is quite busy, so you will hear some vehicle noise if it's warm and you have the windows open.

A very nice room for the money. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom was clean with a nice shower and fluffy towels. Breakfast was excellent, the cooked breakfast was generous and cooked really well. The staff are really friendly and go out of their way to ensure that you are happy. We ate in the restaurant on one night. Food was very good and the staff we pleasant and efficient. The menu is slightly limited so it is worth checking it out before you eat in the evenings. The situation of the Kings Head is in the centre of Warwick close to restaurants, shops and the castle. Everything is in a short walking distance.

You would have to be very picky not to appreciate this place.

The accommodation was well kept and clean, The room was big enough, the beds were a little uncomfortable but we managed, a good mattress would have made a difference. the room was quiet all night after the pub was closed but the first night it was a little noisy. The breakfast was very good, cereal and full english and especially nice to get some real meaty, tasty sausage which most places only give the cheap sausage with little meat in it. We also had Sunday lunch before we left for our train and we had leg of lamb and trimmings, this was a big meal but being us we had a dessert too and kept us full until Monday morning. It was very near to the castle by foot and also the bus station and town centre. All in all a great place to stay.

As I said before a comfy mattress would have made a difference as we are oap's and getting the aches and pains now most people of a younger age wouldn't worry, and this is just a mention and not a criticism.

The staff were brilliant and friendly, the food was _delicious_ and they were very accommodating despte arriving at the stroke of 8pm (last tome to check in and have food!). The bed was clean and comfortable and the shower the same and the In is conveniently located for the train.

The amenities were a little dated (the TV was old and the audio was shot) and there was a mouldy book on the nightstand in the corner of Room 9 (the room I was in) there was no way to have the window kept open and it was a hot night. Just to note, the building is quite old so the ceilings are short. Not a problem for me but just a note for anyone over five foot ten!

The warm welcome from all the staff. A very comfortable and well equipped room on the top floor. Dinner at the hotel was excellent - we ate the tapas on each night of our stay - lovingly prepared and delicious. We were made to feel like friends. A real buzzy atmosphere in the bar.

Our room on the top floor was reached by many and steep stairs- not for the faint-hearted or anyone with mobility problems. Not the fault of the hotel but in the nature of a very old coaching inn. The owner, Mike, was very apologetic but happily carried my case upstairs. Thank you again Mike.

The room was well presented and furnished. Carpet nice and plush. The armchair, and small clothes rack made use of the space well. Fresh water in a glass sealed bottle a nice touch alongside tea and coffee making facilities. The breakfast was very tasty and not too greasy, always like the beans in a little pot so they don't take over the plate.

The carpet and door trim made it difficult to open the door as quite stiff. Some complimentary biscuits would have been nice. Perhaps a sausage or patty option for vegetarians as my friend wanted full veg breakfast.

Mike and the staff could not have been more caring. Mike knew I was in Warwick, not for pleasure, but to visit an old pal who was dying. Knowing this, he and the rest of the staff made sure I had a happy and safe environment to recover from my daily visits to the local hospital. Dave, the chef, apart from being a great chef, was a witty and entertaining companion.

I can't think of anything that dampened my relief at finding a great bolthole.

Where to begin. Lovely old building with big clean rooms. All the staff are very friendly and incredibly helpful. Conveniently located to the town centre for easy walking access. Breakfast is very good quality and cooked to order. On the Saturday we returned to the Inn late afternoon and stopped in the bar for a few drinks which had a very ‘local’ friendly atmosphere; made to feel very welcome by staff and patrons alike. We had dinner on the Saturday evening at the Inn and the South American inspired menu cannot fail to impress. Home made and incredibly tasty. To top it all there was live singing by some of the staff which just added to the atmosphere and enjoyment. Great weekend enhanced for all by the King’s Head Inn.

Nothing.
