Margret was great nothing was too much trouble. We stayed in "Oyster" bedroom which was huge and very in keeping of the 17th Century house. We had a large canopy bed and it was very comfortable. The gardens to the B&B were a delight to sit in beautifully kept. Walking into this B&B was like stepping back in time. The only thing missing was the period costumes :O). The location of the Queen Ann is on a hill, so if you have trouble climbing this location might not suit you. Having said that, if you love old buildings this one is a must a truly unique B&B. If you love walking or don't want to drive about the island the B&B is ideally located. The bus stop is a 5 minute stroll down hill. Busses were frequent. The 501 bus (seasonal) is an opened topped bus and takes you to Portland Bill Lighthouse the driver stops and you get a short history lesson of the Island. There was four pubs almost on top of the Queen Ann B&B word of warning three of them did not do food. The Cove House Inn was the only pub cooking. Book to eat before your stay otherwise you will not get in. In fact book all meals before your trip. First night we ended up getting fish and chips from the village Chip Shop and took it back to our room to eat. Breakfast at the Queen Ann was cooked to perfection. There was a choice of fresh fruits, fruits in syrup, muesli and cereals each evening you ticked what type of cooked breakfast you required. What I liked about sitting to breakfast you were seated around a huge oval table, this allowed you to chat to the other guest's. On our stay there were only four of us sat around the table. Covid hygiene was always adhered to at the B&B. Thank you Margret for our memorable stay at the Queen Ann House.

There was nothing I can say I didn't like. If we had to be really picky the only comment I would make is possibly a bigger TV for the room. The screen was too small.

A very homely atmosphere, it felt like being a guest in a friends house. The room was beautifully furnished with antique furniture that was period to the house and the bed was the most comfortable I have ever slept in. Lovely secluded and immaculately maintained garden. I loved the breakfast experience, sat at a large table with the other guests, a very sociable start to the day. The breakfast was very good indeed and there was a huge selection of both cooked breakfast, cereals, fruit, and toast.

I cannot fault the property, hosts and ambience in any way at all.

The house is beautiful and historically listed. Our room which included the back porch, passage and bathroom was useful for suitcases as the bedroom was compact. We had full access to the back garden which was just lovely and had seating and tables. The breakfast was fine dining and cooked to taste. You would never leave hungry. Access to the lounge was lovely to read or play cards. Coffee facilities were provided as were toiletries. Restaurants on the island were excellent and there was plenty to do.

The bath was historical and hysterical, a small seated bath which wouldn't suit people with limited movement. Parking in the area was busy if the driveway was full.

It didn’t feel like a hotel, more like visiting your lovely grandmother having your own separate suite in her house. It was quiet, room was spacious and the garden view was just exceptional. Bathroom was clean and it had a tub where you could sit in it for a nice relaxing bath. Margaret also made an exceptional English breakfast - best I’ve ever ate at least - each morning, and the atmosphere was in a dining hall, either peaceful to classic songs or friendly and talkative with other guests staying in the house.

I can’t really think of something I didn’t particularly not like. Maybe having limited headspace in the bathtub If I wanted to shower, on account of being a historical house? But I didn’t shower, so it’s not exactly a minus from me

Lovely room, comfortable and elegant. There was a beautiful garden which was an added bonus for us. The location was excellent both for exploring the island and for getting out and about in the surrounding area. Being able to walk to Chesil Beach was fantastic. The breakfast was excellent both in the choice available and in the quality and quantity. Nothing was too much trouble. Thank you.

Nothing, we liked it all.

Beautiful bedroom with Half-tester bed and en-suite. Spacious and beautifully furnished room. Good supplies of of tea, coffee etc with a good choice of products. Breakfast was excellent. Manager Margaret is charming and I never felt that I was intruding in some-one else's home. Very welcoming. Nothing Fawlty Towers about his one! Will rebook next time.

An armchair in the room would have been a nice alternative to sitting on e bed to watch tv, although the bed was very supportive and loads of cushions and pillow.

The host made us feel very welcome from the moment we arrived until we left. Nothing was to much trouble, I cannot recommend this property highly enough. If anybody complains about Queen Anne House they either don't know what they are talking about or they thing they might get some money back.

There was nothing to dislike.

Garden was stunning, a tropical oasis - just a pity that you hear the traffic. It's a very busy road - so constant noise. Although you're not disturbed inside - it's very quiet in the Garden Room.

Room was a little small. But charm & decor made up for that. Access so far as parking is concerned - not great. Although there is a free 72hr car park down the road a bit.
