The staff made us very welcome and allowed us to get our room early as we had a castle tour booked at 3pm. The room was very nice and having a bath made the difference for the wife. Plus good quality shower gel etc available too. Good selection of teas and coffees. We recommend you book a seat in the restaurant when you first arrive, as the food is excellent and the restaurant busy (but not noisy) luckily for us the staff were able to offer us a table on the 1st night due to a cancellation. The hotel is ideally suited for visiting Windsor and Eton, with a carpark near by.

The hotel now offers breakfast at an additional cost to your stay, the breakfast was lovely, but you have to pay extra for tea orange juice etc.

Gilbeys is actually in Eton and not Windsor, just across the Thames. The room was above the restaurant-bar. I was there only a single night but had lunch there, before I checked in. I had been traveling in France for two weeks and Gilbeys lunch was better than every meal I had in France. The two-course lunch consisted of fishcake and salmon tartar for starter, and pork belly for entree. Washed it down with a beer. Everything was terrific, including the bed, shower, TV.

I never figured out how to use the Nespresso machine. But it still had a Nespresso machine!

The room was charming and really comfortable. The bathroom was large and had The White Company amenities. Aside from the shower door not closing properly which made it harder to shower without flooding the bathroom, the room and bathroom were delightful. Beds and pillows were comfortable and there were two large bottles of water as well which was an added bonus. Would definitely stay again.

The shower door didn't close properly and left a 2 inch gap where the water escaped onto the bathroom floor leaving a puddle that needed mopping up. No drama, just felt bad leaving a wet floor mat for housekeeping.

Not your conventional hotel/inn room. My room was very large with two bathrooms, a super-comfy bed, and a plentiful supply of teas, snacks, and coffees. A short walk across the bridge takes you to Windsor Castle. I was there two days after the Queen died and it was an extraordinary experience, mingling with the thousands on the Long Walk. The staff was very helpful. Nearby parking is easy to find. I would definitely have liked to stay longer and I will return in the future.

Nothing.

Good quality furnishings and facilities. Unfortunately the was a very poor tv reception, and the pillows were not very good. apert from that it was all very good.

No tv reception - and why not provide a card with information on - on-screen digital information is nonsense. could no use the pillows - too thick and too hard - a choice would be good.

Lovely warm interiors, comfortable bed, and perfect location on Eton High Street. Staff were super friendly and made our stay more special because of it. Thank you! The restaurant downstairs is fantastic with really delicious food and nice wine. We really enjoyed our stay and wish we didn’t have to leave!

There were no slippers to go with the bath robes and no armchair in the room, both of which would have made the room even lovelier. There was also a mix up between our room and another room, which means our room didn’t get serviced on the last day and we only realised late in the day when we returned.

Luxurious accommodation in the ideal location. Five minutes walk to Windsor castle and the town centre. Fine dining in a great setting with attentive staff. The free parking pass for the Eton Court car park, three minutes walk away, is a great bonus too.

It rained over the weekend, but that couldn't be helped 😄

Location to all Windsor sites and restaurants was excellent. Staff were very helpful with everything

Unfortunately it is common practise for B&B not to have mini fridges to keep drinks cold, but that is not a bad mark on Gilbeys, as everything else was well done.

Perfectly situated, just across the river, right in Windsor. Staff amazing, super helpful and friendly. Sunday lunch was so delicious and perfectly cooked. Parking is a brilliant bonus, just a very short walk away.

As we faced the road, maybe a tad noisy.... our fault as we like the windows open for a breeze, windows closed perfectly quiet.

Lovely townhouse b&b. Fantastic location, walking distance to Windsor Castle and the town itself. Room was nicely decorated and had everything we needed. Bistro menu was very expensive so we choose to eat at Cote Brassiere (less than 1minute walk away). Really recommend! The only reason I didn’t give this B&B 10/10 value for money was although the price we paid was for b&b, it didn’t specify the breakfast was only continental, if we wanted a cooked breakfast with tea/coffee and juice this was £18 per person, felt a little disappointed to end our lovely stay at this place.
