The Pinewood Hotel

nice and close to Slough for work purposes. great price. was upgraded to an executive double on arrival. very comfy bed with crisp sheets, fluffy towels and plenty of hot water. fridge, hairdryer, tea tray, iron and ironing board. decent size flatscreen tv and a massive sofa! despite some poor reviews I read, this is a decent place to stay near Slough for a night or two. only issue was the sound of other guests doors banging.. but it’s a hotel and you kind of expect that. still, I had a decent sleep and the staff I met were very polite.

my room had been nicely decorated. carpet had a few stains but there were complimentary slippers and a robe so I was fine!

The staff were all very friendly and helpful and welcoming although no real description of the hotel, rooms or facilities given upon checkin. Dinner and Breakfast were cooked to a very good standard. Parking was plentiful and Wifi worked well.

Not sure if there were two accomodation blocks or not but I stayed in main building. Rooms could have done with modernising, windows quite hard to adjust - didnt use A/C. Bathroom was clean and excellent size although in need of some TLC. Shower head seemed really small for the very high pressure water flow that was coming out! and the temperature was difficult to get right (hot water flow interspersed with cold bits to wake you up)

The staff, Omar, Justina, Julian and all the rest were brilliant- they couldn’t do enough to help. I was exhausted most of the time but felt so looked after during my 4 night work stay. Would use again and recommend to others. The lack of room service etc is easily bypassed by Deliveroo etc- but the staff make up for everything. Lovely people that make you feel like a valued customer and so friendly and efficient and professional.

Large room with massive comfy bed, coffee machine, full length mirror and mirror at the dressing table, bath and shower with lots of very hot water and good pressure, lots of plug sockets and lights, smart tv, food very good had pizza and meatballs, breakfast lovely. Lovely grounds. Richard on reception very helpful and friendly and went above and beyond. Couldn't fault anything.

Honestly couldn't fault . Just a shame no spa or pool.

Room was very comfortable. We didnt stay in it long and didnt have breakfast but that was because we were tight for time.

We had to leave for a wedding before our check in so needed somewhere to change, all that was offered was a downstairs dark toilet. I appreciate they didnt have to give us an early check in, just somewhere to get ready for 15 mins. We left then and did not come back till after 12 and left at 5am. So used the room for 5 hours max. A little extra consideration would have gone a long way.

Room was a good size, last minute booking went smoothly, 24 hour check in was great and with friendly staff. I enjoyed the tea and coffee options!. I had a smooth check-in and I had everything I needed for a great nights sleep. As a business traveler this was all I needed!

This didnt bother me at all, but the only thing I noticed was the sliding screen on the bath was difficult to maintain and was covered in limescale. The hotel seemed clean everywhere so its not really a negative, just a sign of age.

Location was good; quiet country site close to Heathrow (20 to 30 minutes by car); good publs locally and plenty of local attractions not too far away. Room was a reasonable size with a reasonable view over the carpark and rear garden to woods; housekeeping prompt and flexible. Breakfast good value; full English was enough to keep you going until afternoon tea.

The initial room offering on the ground floor of the annex was dark with no view and set up for disabled access. The lift was out of order for two days of our stay and apparently is prone to faults.

Easy to find on dark night, easy parking, painless and helpful check in, room was clean and bed very comfortable. Good facilities , bathroom was very nice. and wifi and tv good.

Coffee making facilities in room could have been better , kettle didnt work well ( intermittent) could have had coffee mini machine or at least coffee bags! Lighting wasnt working along landing so had to find room with torch - it was reported to the staff - they said " they know"..

Decent rooms, comfortable beds and a nice location in an "old country house setting". Staff were friendly and attentive when I arrived. There is a good sized free car park and some sculptures in the garden.

The shower was a little hit and miss (hot/cold), this place is a little dated vs. a new hotel but has massive potential. If it had been Summer and I'd been able to enjoy the outdoor a little more it may have changed my opinion slightly.

Room was comfortable and a spacious, simple decor but clean and appealing, huge comfortable bed. Restaurant had really nice decor, created a boutique style ambience. Food was excellent, good sized portions, staff remembered I was gluten free and went out of their way to have things available for me. Had fridge in bedroom for storing our own drinks etc, so that was a bonus. Iron and ironing board in room, tea & coffee making facilities, and hot chocolate too - that was a nice touch. Tv wall mounted on moveable bracket so easy to watch in bed. We chose this hotel so we could drive there ourselves and head into London by train, thus avoiding hassle with parking, congestion zone etc. It was so easy, 10 mins from slough train station, able to park the car at rail station whilst we headed into London for the day, so much cheaper to do it this way. Definitely go there again.

Price of drinks at bar. Quite expensive so limited to one drink with meal. No lift in building we were in, so not good for anyone with mobility issues. There was a lift in the main building but we stayed in annexe opposite main building.
