I would stay here again. The small single room was very clean and the bed comfortable. There are ear-plugs on the coffee tray. The George is only about 10 minutes walk from Windsor and Riverside Station, and very convenient for the castle and the theatre

The television doesn't work, so take your IPad. I notice that several people have mentioned this, so I'm guessing that it's a longstanding problem. I could hear people elebrating on the bridge, and the bottle bins were emptied in the morning, but this wasn't a big issue for me.

We had tickets for the Theatre Royal Windsor and the George was ideally placed. The staff were great, the room very clean and the venue had a good pub menu. Breakfast was not provided but there is a multitude of places minutes away offering a wide range of food choices. Eton High Street is also worth a look with, of course, Eton College at the end.

Steep stairs. With the booking comes a warning about noise from the customers of the pub. We did not find it noisy at all but may just have been lucky.

Friendly, welcoming and responsive staff. Special thanks to Finn, Callum and the lady housekeeper and assistant manager. Great location just a stone’s throw from Eton to Windsor Bridge, also a number of local eateries and novelty shops. Historic pub owned by local boutique brewery, having very well maintained rooms recently refurbished to a good standard. Our 2nd visit and enjoyed the posters in rooms, explaining Royal personages such as Queen Anne and Queen Victoria. Oh and the craft beers are delicious! These noticed also at Heathrow T2, so was glad to know their ales with names such as Windsor Knot, Garter Knight and Canberra Ale are travelling well! Thanks again to all at The George, Eton. Looking forward to a future stay.

Being a small pub, understandably is unable to offer breakfast facilities, however a number of early options are available 8-10 mins walk away in Windsor. Don’t forget keyset though, as most staff not available til mid-morning to assist with access. Steep, winding stairs aren’t suitable for those less able to negotiate with heavy bags etc.

Friendly, efficient staff manage a spotlessly clean, recently well-refurbished cosy room in an historic pub setting. Great location near Windsor & Eton bridge and the area’s many tourist attractions. Pair of small bottles mineral water (replaced daily) was a thoughtful addition to usual tea/coffee-making facility. Modern/efficient ventilation to en-suite bathroom. Our room (named after their in-house Park View Ale) was fitted with very comfortable bed, new linen, ample drawer space, also an efficient electric heater for cool seasons.

Dropping off baggage etc most safely done at local carpark (200 metres away). Steep curved staircase to rooms wouldn’t suit persons with reduced mobility.

The staff were very helpful and the location of the hotel is ideal - just on the approach to the bridge over thevThames

We were in the Windsor Knot room for just one night. The tv was difficult to tune and the picture kept on breaking up. The wifi didn’t work, which we brought to the attention of the manager. He tried to get it working from our room, but couldn’t! Being very helpful, he then found another hotel email address and its password. He tried this twice in the room with us, but even that wouldn’t work. He was very apologetic and said he would bring the matter for further investigation. He was as very helpful as could be, but these days, it is important to be able to communicate with emails.

The location was perfect to explore Windsor, everything within walking distance. There were also restaurants surrounding the hotel, which was great. Staff were very helpful and friendly on arrival, check in/out was easy and straightforward. The room was a fab size for myself and my auntie. The extras in the room were also appreciated. It also had a very nice outdoor space! Perfect place to stay in Windsor.

Window was left open before arrival in the room, which was needed due to hot weather, but this resulted in quite a few flies in the room.

The location is terrific, just on the other side of Windsor over the footbridge in Eton. Lots of options for walks, pubs, and anything you need. We ate breakfast every day just up the road at The Eaten Inn -- an easy few minutes' walk and very friendly folks take care of your every need. The George pub has W&E brews on tap and lots of great garden space in the back for outdoor seating. The salmon nicoise salad for lunch was perfect!

We stayed in the family room, which had lots of space, but the twin beds pushed together is what makes the king size bed, which is a practice we often see in inns. Not a real negative, of course, just to manage your expectations.

Location was fantastic.Central to all our plans and destinations .Comfy room with everything we needed for our stay. Noise from the bar was not an issue. Comfy bed and we slept well. Complimentary items in the room were plenty. Enough towels. Any staff we saw were pleasant. No time to enjoy the onsite restaurant sadly . Outdoor bar seating/garden looked lovely. Overall no complaints and would absolutely stay again and would recommend highly

The narrow stairs were a little unnerving but manageable

The staff were very welcoming and gracious. The location is amazing. It was very quaint and historic. The pub, restaurant and garden are incredible. The room was clean and has everything I needed for my stay. Just what I was looking for.

There are obvious limitations to an old inn. None of which bothered me in the least. No lift or air conditioning and if you are over 6 feet, you will need to duck to get through the doors.
