Delta Hotels by Marriott York

We came for a 2 night stay. We were very kindly upgraded when we arrived, which was so lovely. The hotel was clean and nicely decorated. The bed and bedding were fabulous like sleeping on a cloud.room facilities were great, tea and coffee station, huge t.v, beautiful veiw from the room.The leisure facilities were excellent, very clean and were open till late so we got to use them after a day and night of walking all of York.Bus stop just outside, to take you into the train station or york city centre.We would definitely stay again.

The only issue we had for our 2 day trip was that the room was extremely hot ( it was a very hot 2 days aswell so it didn't help) the air con in the room wasn't really doing anything.in the end we left the balcony door open during both nights to try get some sleep. It's an easy fix for next year tho. Lovely hotel.

The breakfast was SUPERB - so delicious and so much choice! The staff were friendly ( tell the breakfast lady she is great!) The location was great and we enjoyed walky into the city to see the sights and also enjoyed cycling the local trails ( Solar system path) and a good few laps of the racecourse! We loved the gym and the pool too. Also thank you for the birthday treat for hubby - a nice surprise! The welcoming cool water in reception was good in the warm weather also! Thank you.

The spa and pool are very nice, and the kids loved it.

£18.50 for breakfast, with seemingly no alternative options is silly. For a family of four, nearly £80 for that is insane. I thought it was included with the room. You don't even have the proper coffee with breakfast, plus my sister in law ordered a decaf and that was clearly an instant coffee. So yeah, that let an otherwise pleasant trip down. Offer some pastries and wot not with the proper coffee machine (which was very good) at the bar!

Nice hotel,

Unfortunately the first room we were allocated was room for a wheelchair user and the bathroom was totally unacceptable (wheelchair accessible shower not required by us). We were then moved to a room on the 3rd floor which was very small, as we were staying for 5 nights we found it very uncomfortable in the enclosed space with the heat, we would have managed for 1 night. Unfortunately there were no other rooms available to us as the hotel was full.

Breakfast was really good, Food cooked well, plentiful. The tables and chairs were clean, staff were attentive. Our room had housekeeping every morning,

The WI-FI could only be used in certain areas so, as we were only there a short time we didn’t bother. But it would have been a bonus to have it in our room.

Nice hotel. Decent value for money. Decent location. I would stay again.

Breakfast wasn't the best. But it was OK. There are plenty of options, but I didn't really like the sausage and bacon. Everything else was OK. Would benefit from an omlete stations like most of the other hotels I stay at have,

air con didn't work in the room so was very stuffy and breakfast was inconssistant, not very good on Saturday ran out out of a lot of things and bacon was very hard and over done but on Sunday it was ok, so need to make sure fresh food and often replenished every day

Staff very welcoming and efficient. Food we had was tasty and well presented. Pool area very nice. Children loved it. The bed and pillows were the usual quality. Very comfortable.

Some of the paintwork in the bathroom was in need of redoing.

The location of the hotel is perfect! You can get into a city by 20 - 30 minutes walk. Lovely swimming pool and gym.

The air con in our room didn’t work and visited during late summer, so it was too warm but the hotel did provide a fan too!

Great location, close to public transport and pubs. Amazing breakfast.

For such a widely known name disappointed at the lack of ventilation. The weather was exceptionally warm, no air con and only 1 window which opened slightly. No relief!
