The Lakefront Anchorage

Great location and size of rooms. For those who do not live in Alaska, the restaurant views are lovely and unique by being able to watch the float planes while you eat. When you book your stay with breakfast included, you get meal vouchers to use at the restaurant for anything on the menu. Quite handy when wanting a leisurely breakfast with options.

Be careful completing your check in online. The system charged my credit card twice because the system saves the card number twice (in the pre check-in system and in the actual hotel system). I had to wait until the next day to have a manager deal with it but it all worked out. I would play it safe and just check in when you actually arrive.

Much better than last stay a week ago. Patio was open, clean, and staffed. Check in problems were resolved. Our Serbian waitress spoke beautiful English and was excellent at her job. She told us she's studying Hospitality Services as a career. It showed. Food was still excellent. Don't lose your chef and kitchen staff. The place looked a lot more taken care of this week. Maintenance people were visible and busy. Thanks. Three Stars.

Restaurant still not open. Food still coming in and dirty dishes still going out the front door of the bar, which is doubling as the restaurant. I feel for the wait staff. Food was priced well. Wine and beer the same. Mixed spirits seemed high. With a $2 tip, a single Bloody Mary was $15.00. That's too high.

Dinner - the quality of the food was good. The view of the lake was pleasant. One of the waitresses was very friendly and solicitous, which we appreciated. Booking - we also made a mistake on the dates we expected to stay and one staff member went out of her way to accommodate us, which we greatly appreciated.

The waitstaff was grossly overworked. At times we waited quite a while before being informed that we had to seat ourselves. We also both had to sleep in one queen bed on the first night although we thought we had requested two beds - however, they were able to move us to a room with two beds for subsequent nights.

Breakfasts good but dining room closed

Our room was assigned to another guest and my credit card was charged with the stay. I was scheduled with Priceline for $255.05. That was May 25. Mu credit card was charged $300 June 8. I sent copies to Priceline and the Lakefront, and I called the Lakefront twice. No answer after numerous tries, answering recording only. I left a message twice with option 2, supposedly the manager, but to date there has been no response. This is unacceptable. Im a long time guest, back to the 90s. The employees are happy and friendly, that would be why we return!! The people! Most of all every single employee was friendly and helpful! The best staff ever and they are why I would return! I forgot to leave a room tip under stress with our circumstances and so am sorry no reflection on place or staff!! Breakfast was great!! Vouchers appreciated! Better than buffet!’

I could have used a better toilet, it is low! The room had loud furnace and got cold in morning Need to upgrade furniture and either get rid of the old decorative pillow or get new ones that can be laundered. It was ratty. But upgrade carpet, toilet and furniture

Last time I stayed at the Lakefront in Anchorage, my room was sweltering hot. Opening a window and turning on the air conditioner did not help. This time, however, the room temperature was on the cooler side -just perfect for a good night’s sleep. I had breakfast in the restaurant and my server’s kindness started my day off just right. Nice general area to wait for shuttle to airport departure.

I arrived exhausted and without a reservation. The person at check-in told me to get a better deal, go to a seat in the lounge and book online. No one else was in line at the front desk, and though I understand we live in a self-serve digital world now, I really was not in the mood to use my phone and make a booking - I was already there! The hallway, at least on the third floor, could use a good vacuuming. The shuttle driver was most unfriendly, at 8:30 in the morning. I went to the shuttle desk to let him know I would be getting on the 8:30 shuttle. I waited for him to stop looking at his phone, was grumpily told to sit fine, and this lack of friendliness continued until I got off at the airport. Such a contrast to the warm and friendly person who had just served me in the dining room.

I loved the location, I loved the staff. very professional and got straight to the points.

our room specifically had a strange odor upon walking in. a very potent wet mildew smell. when we opened the cabinet to our fridge, a foul smell wafted into the room. we aired out the room afterwards and the smell faded. i would assume maybe a spill around the fridge area. besides that, very pleasant stay!

Convenient location near the airport and free shuttle to airport and train station. This is a very nice property, well decorated, and a beautiful location on the lake.

It was very slow checking in. I reserved 3 rooms in booking.com and wanted to actually have different people pay for each room. All 3 rooms were auth’d against 2 of my credit cards, but in the end I was only charged for 2 of the rooms and settled up with my cousin.

Beautiful location, loved seeing the float planes. The room was spacious and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and allowed us an early check in. Since we were literally headed to a funeral that was so helpful for us to be able to freshen up and change. Thank you. Also, even being on the first floor it was quiet.

Our room desperately needed a good detailed dusting. The vent in the bathroom particularly. Overall the room itself was clean and no complaints about our stay, just might want to get those light fixtures and vents a tad more often.

Great location, free airport shuttle, nice restaurant options on site. Clean rooms, nice bed.

Front desk consistently gave out incorrect or incomplete information. For example, we needed an early morning airport shuttle. The desk said to come down at any time about ten minutes before you wanted to leave. However, the night desk said the driver didn't start running until 4 :30 and then every thirty minutes after that. Fortunately, that time worked out but we were downstairs about twenty minutes earlier than we needed to be.
