AC Hotel by Marriott Phoenix Downtown0

This is an excellent hotel and I couldn't recommend the AC Hotel Downtown Phoenix any higher than 5 stars. What was good, the service at the front desk was excellent, Keenan really took care of us well and was always pleasant with a ready answer to our questions. Ben handled the breakfast buffet bar and always made sure everything was refilled and he was most helpful with all our requests and we always appreciated the friendly smile and wonderful service and the breakfast buffet had an excellent choice of hot entrees, deli meats & cheese, breads & croissants, cold cereal, juices, teas, and coffee. The bar service in the evenings was also good and the woman who handled the bar was always quick to make a delicious drink and provide great service (my bad that I forgot her name). The cleaning people in the hotel did a wonderful job and when I asked for a room refresh, they always said yes and I left a tip to thank them each day. The room itself was large enough for our family and there was a pull-out sofa bed that, while we had to ask them to make up for us the first night, they did so with efficiency and the bed was comfy according to the daughter. The top floor had a nicely equipped work out room and there was a hydration station located on our 10th floor which allowed us to fill our own hydro flask water bottles daily with ice and filtered water. All in all, I'd definitely stay at the AC Hotel Downtown Phoenix if I am every in the area again. Although, I'd book directly with the hotel as the rates posted were a bit cheaper than booking.com.

The sofa bed could have been made when we first got into the room--as we indicated it was for 3 persons, but the hotel staff quickly remedied the situation and all was well.

The check in and extra fees for parking were corrupt. Luckily, we had it remedied, but we were charged $30 for parking for 3 days and we never left the garage. The gentleman next to us was charged $20 per day because he stayed parked. I brought this up at checkin and was treated poorly (I wish I knew her name!) she said,”I’m not trying to rip you off or something.” Later when i saw someone else at the desk, she refunded me the first night and charged me the correct amount for not leaving the parking garage. It was absolutely ridiculous that I had to remedy this myself when I addressed it at checkin.

The hotel was very modern and sleek. The rooms were well designed and was very earthy and yet stylish in my opinion. The staff I had were friendly and informative.

My rooms ac was very loud. I tried turning it off and turning it back on to see if that would have stopped the noise but it kept going on. There were a couple of incidents were homeless people would come to the front door which of course they never caused a problem but thought you’d know that there may be homeless people around downtown. Like most cities.

The room was incredibly comfortable. It was easy to control the temperature and the amount of light in the room. The beds were very comfortable. The staff was courteous and the location was perfect for a conference at the Convention Center (5 minute walk).

I had a ‘city view’ room. From the third floor, this view is rather unattractive as it is mostly the top of another part of the hotel. Not a big deal but should not be advertised as having a view.

Breakfast was excellent. We had the egg specials both days. John at breakfast gave us a few tips for what to see and where to go and this made our trip due to airline cancellations a better time. He was friendly and helpful.

Netflix did not work in our room on the second night (we had to change rooms) and the technician was unable to fix it.

This is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in! Super sleek and clean! Excellent location! Staff top notch! A++++!

For the price you pay for the room, you should get a parking pass!! Paying $20 (or $30) is ridiculous! On the booking.com site, it states onsite parking but does not mention cost! Dislike!

Stayed here the night after I got a full back tattoo and couldn’t have chosen a better location to rest in after putting my back through a lot. I arrived late, and the area even felt safe enough to walk from parking garage to hotel. This was a huge plus to me. Bartenders were also SO KIND AND AMAZING to make me a drink ten minutes before closing up, even though I could tell they were nearly finished for the night. Didn’t treat me like a nuisance, and even expressed interest in conversation. It made me feel incredibly comfortable, and this is rare because I have pretty bad anxiety, especially when it comes to ordering drinks. Whoever the girl was and the tattooed bartender was working on June 12th, THANK YOU!!!!

The hotel is in good location in general. Walking distance from the convention center. The rooms are clean and comfortable and the staffs are helpful. The hotel does not have parking and you will need to use the public parking lot next to it and there is additional charge on parking. The hotel has a fitness center but not a swimming pool. It is good for business trip alone but not really for travel with family.

The room was very comfortable and the shower was amazing! The property was close to everything downtown.

The female bartender that worked on Saturday night was extremely rude, acted like she didn't want to be bothered. Wasn't explained how to use the elevator until after the fact.

EVERYTHING. The room was amazing and so comfortable, the bathroom was also very lovely.

I thought the check-in staff was a little sharp. Not too friendly, but he was the only staff that I found to be unfriendly. Everyone else was lovely.
