Hyatt Regency Long Beach

We had a corner room on a high floor, and the view was amazing! We loved it. The room was quite nice, and the bed was very comfortable. We also enjoyed riding the swan paddle boats. The hotel is also in a great location, and walking distance to many great restaurants and shops.

The discounts included in the resort fee were not explained very well, but rather listed on a small card in our key card envelope. We forgot about the card, and missed getting some discounts until about the third day. Thankfully, when we explained this upon checkout, we were compensated for the amenities we missed out on. So although we were ultimately satisfied, it just seems that those amenities (in the form of discounts on meals, etc. if charged to your room) should be explained and emphasized more at check in.

The best thing about this hotel is definitely the view. The harbour view was amazing. The room itself is very comfortable, modern and clean. Right next to the hotel you have a private swimming pool and jacuzzi, which definitely makes your stay even better. All the staff were very kind and helpful. In general awesome stay!

You have to ask for replacement of some stuffs such as coffee, cotton swabs etc., which I was not aware and it was automatic even for much cheaper hotels. And some things are more expansive then they should be (eg. movie for $10 available only for 24h and not even in full HD). However you will receive lots of complimentary stuffs, movie included, so there is not much to complaint about.

Amenities, the gym, pool, hotel location, room, the little market and the staff were very good.

Two things. The room I had was great location but close to pool level and you do not have sound proof curtains in the room. The pool is supposed to be closed at 11 but people were still out there after. I understand because they are on vacation but customers in rooms shouldn’t have to hear outdoor activities. That is on the hotel construction designers and management of company. Also, kids were in hot tub constantly. This is 100% not acceptable and does not allow adult’s to use hot tub and relax. Entitled parents and entitled kids is no excuse. There are safety and health issues involved. That must be why when I felt the hot tub water, it was just warm. I did not even use. 100% on management allowing.

It was incredibly clean even walking into the lobby smelled nice. Multiple hydration stations and clean bathrooms. The room itself had a great view of the water and was extremely comfortable. Location was great, plenty of dining options and shopping. Really nice place. House keeping was so friendly and accommodating. Really really loved the bed.

Not much. It was a bit pricey but I totally understand why. Absolutely hate the $38 parking per day to use parking structure though. No reason that shouldn't be included when you're paying upwards of $300 dollars a night.

Clean harbor view room and yes it's a real view of the harbor, not just a sliver. Comfy bed. Small fridge fits drinks. Adjoining rooms perfect for family. Like small alcove between room and the door to keep out hallway noise. Strong shower pressure. Vegan, cruelty free bath products that smell and feel good. Option of cold or room temp bottled waters upon check in was nice. Love noon checkout to give us time to enjoy pool area.

Although self parking parking was easy, the structure is dark and doesn't seem secure with all the open, unsecured access from multiple Pine Ave stairwells. The breakfast was good but seems a shame to not have an actual restaurant on site given the nice views and the convenience of not having to go to the chain restaurants, none of whom appear to serve breakfast. Yes I know there's walkable options like Omelette Inn, but that's more inland.

The front desk was very helpful regarding restaurants close by ,And she gave us a wonderful room with an outstanding view of the harbor .

Everything we went to leave or enter the self parking garage our gate pass we wouldn't work 😒 so we had to go through the whole process over again until someone would open it . Wish there was a microwave in the room to heat up leftovers .

Fantastic location in downtown Long Beach. Hotel has been updated - rooms are on the small side but extremely comfortable with all the amenities. Even during a huge festival across the street the room was quiet. Great pool and hot tub but it was a bit cold for us at the time to use them. Bathroom had large shower with great counter space, nice closet and incredible views of the harbor and the Queen Mary. No real restaurant at the hotel but you can order things to go including breakfast. Snacks and drinks available too. The water refill station in the lobby was a great touch.

Nothing really - was wonderful. Only complaint if I had one would be the bed. A bit firm for my taste.

Great location. Easy to self park and walk to hotel. Hotel was clean and everything (except the shower head) worked perfectly. I really liked the cafe style drink and food options that are easy to order.

The advertised view… We reserved a “Harbor view”. Well, it was but ONLY IF YOU ARE STANDING UP! There was a wall from the floor up to about 4 feet. You are not able to view the harbor from the seating area. You are not able to sit and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning and watch the activities of the harbor. That was very disappointing. The only other thing was the shower head. It was a hose and handle style (no fixed showerhead). The handle would not stay in place and kept sliding down and twisting around. We had to hold onto the handle while showering.

The view was very nice!

Paying for parking when you stayed 3 nights, should come free for the amount you pay for the rooms!

The location was excellent for getting to the beach, the aquarium, eating options and shopping and finally to the cruise port. We walked to a wonderful breakfast spot called The Breakfast Bar (be sure to try it if you go). The room and bed were very comfortable. Most of the staff were incredibly friendly and professional.

The carpet was a bit stained (we always wear shoes so it wasn't too much of an issue). The bathroom was a bit tight for two. One of the staff members seemed to be somewhat annoyed with either her job or the fact that we were interrupting her personal phone call.
