Riverside Hotel

Hotel's location was superb. It was right at the center of restaurants and shopping. The beach was a few minutes drive. Hotel had ample parking spaces. The room I stayed on was spacious enough. I loved the huge closet with a door where I can hang my clothes. Staff was helpful when you need anything.

Wish they had better tasting coffee and a microwave inside the room. Or a complimentary breakfast would suffice given the price of this hotel. The room had a moldy smell.

Great location and facilities. Staff were great and very friendly. Boathouse restaurant is excellent. Gym is superb.

The old part of the hotel is a little bit worn now and could do with some TLC.

We have been going to this hotel for various events over many years. it has been updated and has a good location with garage parking

We told the hotel as well as the restaurant that we were coming to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary There was no acknowledgement of this. No one even wished us Happy Anniversary! Disappointing…

The front desk staff were awesome and accommodated our special requests. Room, including the bathroom, was spacious and well-maintained. We self-parked in the attached garage (even though valet was available). Breakfast was not included but the attached restaurant was delicious and reasonably priced. There are several restaurants within walking distance for lunch, dinner and drinks as well. The hotel is a half-block from the Riverwalk - we took advantage of the free Water Trolley as well. Lots of shopping on E Las Olas Blvd.

The valet desk and parking garage are actually on SE 4th street - there is no place to stop or unload on E Las Olas Blvd. Plug "Boathouse At The Riverside" into your nav to get close to the garage/valet. It was difficult at first to find the right elevator from the parking garage to the hotel. Use the elevator on the East side of the garage - the West elevator takes you out to the street near The Cheesecake Factory. There was no freezer section in the in-room refrigerator (need a way to re-freeze our ice packs - an ice machine doesn't cut it).

Only hotel located on the river. Great views especially as city is relatively low level. Breakfast choices and food very good and reasonably priced. Would recommend this hotel for a first time visitor to Ft Lauderdale.

The hotel has a great nostalgic feel. We particularly love the piano bar and pool area. It’s so convenient to have the restaurants on property and they are very good. The staff at the hotel is amazing -friendly and helpful. Location in the heart of the action of Las Olas cannot be surpassed.

Room is a little cramped. The bathroom was tiny-I had to keep the ironing board set up to “stage” my toiletries and cosmetics during our stay. Still, the positives more than made up for this small inconvenience. I would upgrade my room next time.

The hotel decor is beautiful and very inviting. Staff were helpful and friendly. We ate at the Boathouse and found the menu and food were appealing. We also ate at the restaurant located within the hotel for breakfast and it was also very good. Menu prices were reasonable. Service was always with a smile. A smoking area was provided with pleasant surroundings feeling like you were in a tropical paradise. A quiet spot for smokers to enjoy their surroundings instead of finding themselves off in a corner.

Very large bathroom but only a small tub & shower combination. The location of the pool was inconvenient as you must cross a street and enter by the restaurant entrance. We had the misfortune of being locked on our 9th floor balcony as the patio door locked behind us when we shut it. This was a little concerning as we didn't have a cell phone with us. Luckily we were able to get the attention of a couple on their balcony who notified security. Within minutes they came and opened the door.

We love the location right on Las Olas Blvd right next to many resturants and bars. The hotel is very charming and we enjoyed the hotels historic ambiance. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable, the hotel also offers quality dining options as well as a nice bar. We particularly enjoyed the gym which is located right next to the New River. All the staff made us feel very welcome.

While there is car parking available in the adjacent parking garage, it does cost $26 per night which adds up over 5 nights.

Welcoming and helpful staff. Clean room, bedding etc and within easy reach of cafes and restaurants.

Lovely Hotel overlooking river.

There was a construction site below hotel & noisy when sitting on balcony. Fire alarm woke us up at 10 mins past midnight. We were on 12th floor & had to walk down fire escape of 2 flights per floor (24 flights) of stone steps, as I have bad Arthritis in my knees this was extremely painful. The following day I asked 2 receptionist the reason fire alarm went off & both said they did not know or refused to say! I feel we should be compensated for above, Riverside Hotel said as we booked though you Booking.com they could not do anything & to get in touch with you, this seems to be very difficult to do!!!!!!!! Please respond.
