Courtyard by Marriott Fort Lauderdale Downtown

Extremely clean, modern. Friendly staff throughout. Beautiful lobby. I had breakfast in the restaurant every day and it was great, try the breakfast sandwich. It came with the best "breakfast potatoes" I have ever had, it was pretty shocking that they were that good from a hotel restaurant. Comfortable bed, comfortable office and desk area, huge TV, roomy bathroom, and a nice shower. The rooftop pool was very impressive. This far exceeded any other Courtyard Marriott I have ever stayed at, and felt like it should have been a much more expensive hotel. I would go out of my way to stay here again the next time I'm in the Ft. Lauderdale area.

Kind of an odd location. The hotel is part of a brand new development which spans about a block, but the immediate surrounding area isn't great. If you have a car, this is not a big deal. Also, parking was confusing. I don't like having to pay $32/day to park and then feeling compelled to tip the valet each time I wanted to leave the property. It was not clear how to park without using the valet service.

The restaurant in the hotel lobby had an awesome breakfast. Fast and healthy! Staff was very helpful, gave me a free upgrade because my assigned room wasn’t ready, and met all requests with efficiently.

Pool hours really should be longer. You have an outdoor/indoor rooftop bar area with a nicely laid out pool area. Allow folk to swim while taking in the skyline at night!

The appearance of the hotel and where it was located.

We were there for a 2 tonight stay and we were not informed when we checked in, that they only provided housekeeping for one night. When we return to the room the first night, the room had not been cleaned and there were no clean towels. Husband had to go down the hall and find a housekeeper to give us some clean towels. When I called the front desk, they said they would have someone come down and clean but they never showed up. Also, the parking was $39 a night and I felt that was excessive. However, they were very prompt in providing our car whenever we needed it.

The room was really clean and very comfortable. The sleeper sofa was probably the best one we have ever slept on. We have three kids and usually one of them has to do rock papier scissors for who gets the sleeper this time they were all fighting to sleep on it. the room was modern the tv was really large, everything was clean. Highly recommend. Also, Valet had our car outside and waiting in no time at all.

it was incredible, from top to bottom. the corner room was absolutely beautiful and the staff was so friendly. I will definitely be making this my routine hotel, everytime I visit Ft. Lauderdale. Absolutely perfect!

There was one thing that was bothersome about the rooms. the “shared door” between your room and the next is extremely thin. my neighbors were having a discussion, a bit louder than average. not yelling at all( but because the door was soo thin, it woke me up numerous times throughout the night, until they randomly checked out. I could hear all of her phone conversations and everything. with your bed being so close to the front door, it’s impossible to NOT hear your neighbors throughout the night. I had to sleep with my television on full blast for a night, jus to drown them out, before I finally had to ask them to stop talking. the trip was for relaxation and I couldn’t do that for 1 night because of this issue.

Great location and nice staff! King room was spacious and very clean. The shower/ bathroom was great too.

Wish parking wasn’t just valet and had in & out privileges. Also I wouldn’t drink the tap water there was a slight yellow tint to it. You can tell in the toilet and when I asked for a cup of water from the restaurant. Speaking of restaurant, overpriced for quality. Better off going to one of the places in walking distance. We loved Doc Bs.

The rooftop pool area is super nice! Hotel is brand new, so everything was very clean and organized. Also excellent gym!

The breakfast option is quite limited, there is no buffet at all and some portions can be ordered, but the service was somewhat slow with only couple of customers. So I am hesitant of how it would work with more customers.

The food and the service was exceptional fairly priced and I loved just absolutely loved how friendly the staff was and that roof top omg was exceptional in every way!

One beer 12 dollars too pricey!

The rooftop pool was salt water if I’m not mistaken and was absolutely beautiful! Great space upstairs with a view of the city and two different bar areas. Close to like 15-20 restaurants and bars all within walking distance of 1.2 miles or less.

Unfortunately we came with our kids and staying on the 7th floor we could hear the dj all night, but if we had been childless, the stay would’ve been near perfect!

The hotel is brand new and the rooms are very thoughtful and comfortably appointed. The restaurant was convenient with very friendly staff and fresh, healthy breakfast options--a Goldilocks between over-prepared heavy hotel food and unhealthy processed food. The hotel actually provided daily housekeeping without special request or outright denial attributed to Covid like other hotels--what an appreciated service and level of hospitality! The neighborhood is up-and-coming with new construction, new restaurants within walking distance, and the main Las Olas strip, Wilton Manors, or the beach an uber away.

There were some snags getting checked in when my reservation did not get through to the hotel's system, but the staff was extremely helpful to resolve all the issues and get me checked in. Because it was spring break, prices soared, and because the hotel is new, the pool wasn't finished--but all these things were very clear before I made the booking, and I was glad to find this hotel and was pleasantly surprised with the stay! The staff went above and beyond for me with each interaction, and for that--I give the stay a 10/10. Thank you!
