SpringHill Suites by Marriott Miami Doral

The hotel is clean, the room is comfortable, the bathroom is very good and it offers all the basic services one would need for a quick trip to Miami. Not fancy but better than many options in the region.

The parking lot is not secure and the hotel doesn't have cameras - besides the front door ones - to discourage criminals. I had a part of my rental car stolen during the night. I'm not blaming the hotel but they can definitely do better to increase the safety of the guest and their property.

The property was very clean and the staff were very nice! There a lot of restaurants and stores nearby so you don’t have to travel far to get things you need.

If you intend to visit Wynwood/South Beach frequently, the property isn’t very close. I’d recommend getting a rental car if that is your plan or you will end up spending a lot on Uber/Lyft. Also, Doral is a Spanish predominant area. So if you can’t speak/understand Spanish that is something to consider. Staff members at the hotel were bilingual for the most part. The property is good for families and group trips.

We liked the room; it was a good size and had a comfortable bed. The bathroom was also very spacious. They offered good breakfast options. The hotel has good parking, and it is close to the Dolphin Mall, so it is a good location.

We took this room because it offered a nice extra bed for my son, but when we arrived, his bed was not made, and when we requested it to be made, they left it half-done. I had to go downstairs to get a duvet, and they had no pillows; luckily, I found one in the wardrobe, but it had no pillowcase.

- We arrived before 3pm so we asked if we were able to check in before because we were traveling with a senior and 2 small kids but the receptionist refused our request without even trying to help. I know that we need to respect the policies but showing a little of interest would be appreciated. -After spending couple of hous at the mall, when we checked in, the other receptionist was more interested in finishing her meal than in helping us and answering our doubts.

The room was comfortable and everything was clean.

I arrived earlier to ask a few questions prior to checking in and the front desk was arguing with a customer on the phone. I understand that customers could be difficult at times but being that I was in front of her, I felt that she could've controlled her emotions a bit more. She would place the phone down and roll her eyes. We may all go through a bad day but perhaps she should've considered the customers that are coming in. I waited about 7 min before she finished and I'm pretty patient but just didn't like the first impression Overall every other experience through my stay was good. :)

The breakfast could have been a little better and the eggs were nasty and not brought out at the same time as the other food items. You could use a waffle station as well but I do understand that covid is still a thing.

The couch and ottoman in my room were stained a little and the refrigerator wouldn't stay on and cold. I had to push a button to get it cold but that didn't last the entire time I was in the room and beverages kept getting warm.

Breakfast was great specially in a COVID time, lot of options. The staff also was super professional, friendly and helpful with everything and the location was really nice, lot of shops nearby.

Lady at the front was super friendly, very quick and efficient with getting us sorted . If we were at the desk 4mins we were there long.

The view was a little blah, we stayed in room 511 which was facing the lil art establishment. I already knew from booking online there weren't many rooms so didn't ask for a change, this still didn't change the fact of how amazing and comfortable the hotel itself is.

I liked the Location, size of the room, it was cozy, very cleaned and smell good.

I checked in through the app but when I arrived there was nothing on the receiving end that I checked in. There were no rooms ready I had to wait about 15 minutes! Breakfast could’ve been just a little bit better! The side doors to the hotel wasn’t working. The power went out for about an hour and no staff came by the rooms to inform the guest with any updates.

Rooms are well designed and the bed is comfortable Like that they had a microwave in the room and a fridge

The rooms should have a safe We did not find out that rooms are only cleaned on request and the request has to be done 24 hours in advance until the second night. This information should have been provided during the check in process. The back door towards the packing area was not working, we could not open it with our room key and we noticed other people couldn't either
