Days Inn by Wyndham Madison

They had bagels, cereal, fruit, coffee, & mini muffins. We had maid service, which we weren't expecting. The a/c was nice and cold. The water was hot, the bed was comfortable, the tv worked. The mini fridge had a freezer. The location was close to where we were going and there were lots of quick food restaurants close by and a Walmart. Plus there were security cameras and the floor had been refurbished with tile and wood. The floor was clean, we know because our socks weren't!!! There was a gas station next door. It is right off of 129N and I-20. There isn't a pool, but we don't usually use one. Plenty of parking.

The mini fridge freezer was on high, so it was frozen almost shut. We did manage to defrost it, so we could freeze our travel ice. And we cleaned the fridge. The building has two floors, but no elevator and we got the last room, so we had to carry our bags up and stairs are not our favorite as we get older. The breakfast could have been better. There weren't any hot items.

Bathroom with the walk in shower was exceptional. The hard wood flooring was great.

Breakfast, there was a vey small variety and even smaller amount of food. 4 slices of raisin bread,2 bagels, 6 packages of instant oatmeal. The milk in the pitcher was bad so even though there was 2 kinds of dry cereal, you'd have to eat it dry. No staff seemed to be in charge of the food.

We were just passing through, so it was a good option for us. Room was comfortable and clean.

Had some trouble getting the TV to work (and it would've been nicer if it was mounted on the wall), but the office came and got us started. Remote only worked on some functions.

We liked the comfortable bedding. The room and bathroom were very clean and looked like it had been recently redone. The air conditioner worked well too. And, the room was quiet.

Can't think of anything we didn't like.

Very poor selection of items available, however food was clean and presented well. It would have been better if some kind of bread were offered like toast, english muffins, or bagels. I found it strange that there was an assortment of jelly’s without something to spread them on. They did offer tasty sweet rolls however.

The door to the room had swelled and was very hard to open and close. The sink was partially clogged. Items easily repared.

The bed was comfortable and the room was clean.

The room was on the 2nd floor and was told that all the downstairs rooms were filled. No elevator. I have COPD which makes it difficult to climb stairs among other things. There was no smoke detector in the room.

Firm bed, soap/shampoo, clean linen and towels. Arrived late at night. The night desk clerk was awesome. Despite the late hour, she greeted us warmly. We were tired. Days Inn was packed. My back hurt. The bed was firm which was exactly what was needed. A great rest stop.

Breakfast was OK, but I was a little surprised that there was nothing hot. e.g., eggs, sausage. etc.

The TV in the room was VERY DIFFICULT to understand how to use. Even the person at check-in admitted as much!

Staff was nice. Room was spacious. We had a king size bed. It wasn't the most comfortable, but wasnt bad. Plenty of pillows. Interstate noise wasn't bad. I read lots of reviews, and I'm glad we chose to stay here!

the 2 morning employees (Lola and another young woman) were a pleasure.

Reservations made over a week in advance with specific request were approved but not honored.
