Howard Johnson by Wyndham Athens

Budget friendly. Clean room and restroom. Comfortable bed. Clean linens. I also enjoy the blackout curtains. I believe there was small fridge in the room.

I couldn't bring my dog. It slept in the car out in the parking lot. The hallway needs cleaning, it smells pretty bad and EVERYONE smokes and don't seem to realize how off-putting that is to folks who don't smoke.

Everything was good, all my needs were met. The location is ideal for access to local eateries, college-related activities, and major roadways. The staff was helpful and attentive, and support services are impeccable.

There office personnel was awesome. Brandy was very customer focused, personable, and attentive.

The fact that the lock on the door to get into the hallway to get to my room wear busted, so I had to go back to the office to get Brandy’s help; I wouldn’t have minded had my bags not been so heavy. lol. The heater knob was also malfunctioning but we were able to keep warm.

I loved the room and the patio. It was modernity designed and great for the price. I have paid more for suburban extended stay and that place was terrible. The man at the front was very nice and helpful. He gave me detailed instructions to man maneuver the property to get to my building, he even knew off the top of his head how many doors from the entrance my room was. This is a bog property with many buildings so I was impressed.

There was a man that kept driving around the property at different times in the day and kept slowing down and staring when I had my sliding glass door open. It was creepy. That same morning someone came up to my window while the curtain was pulled so no one could see in and banged very hard on the door. I am a young adult woman that traveled entirely by myself so that scared me. The bathtub built in stopper didn’t work so the water kept draining out.

We liked the outer door security to get into the hall to the rooms . The housekeeper was very nice and made sure we had what we needed. The maintenance guy was helpful and fixed our toilet seat within 1/2 hour.(it was loose and he replaced the whole seat) The front desk people were very nice and helpful.

There was nothing we didn't like. There were a few visitors that would be up in the middle of the night banging their doors, coming and going, but that had nothing to do with Howard Johnsons..

great location for me and quick breakfast early. even though older the showers had been newly installed and I liked hardwood floors in room on lower level. felt safe had sitting area if summer by pool not to large. folks nice rooms opened to hall for exit enter

my phone charger would work in lamp outlet. all pretty good.

Staff was excellent. Breakfast is a great perk. Room was clean and well stocked.

A/C was loud when turning on and off. We were right next to the outer door which opened and closed loudly when people entered the hallway. Expensive stay with taxes and fees.

Injoyed my stay their I wish I could go back I loved my view of the pool and I loved cause it was quiet... And I see myself getting another room their in the future and I hope it be the same way as

No dislikes necessary everything about it was lovely and I found myself telling people about it and that the best hotel in Athens...

I especially liked the swimming pool - got in two good sessions! Also it was clean and the staff were all friendly.

The hallway was somehow under construction… I was in a room where the en suite room had some loud guests, but they went to bed at a decent hour, so I cannot really complain.

The location was convenient, just a few minutes drive from the University of Georgia and downtown Athens. The beds were comfortable with a variety of pillows.

The towels had a few mysterious stains on them. The street noise was pretty loud and we could hear our neighbors clearly.
