Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Athens-University Area

Breakfast had offerings to please anyone. Hot offerings were delicious, and of course, fresh waffles are always a hit. Coffee hot and plentiful. Lovely seating in the main room as well as comfortable seating by the fireplace.

Only one thing I didn't like. When putting the address into the GPS it sent me to the middle of nowhere. Very disconcerting when you're in unknown territory. Thank God for Tracy. I called the front desk and she actually talked me to the hotel! Perhaps a better GPS listing would be coordinates or a renamed address. I found out there are THREE Old Epps Bridge Roads!

The hotel and my room was very clean and well set up, easy to navigate, and in a fantastic location

This didn't negatively impact my stay but I just want to mention it so that the staff has the knowledge. I stayed in a king bed suite that had 2 tv's and both remotes could control both tvs so you couldn't use them at the same time because they could control one another.

The breakfast was really good and variety plenty. The afternoon front desk helpers were absolutely polite and helpful. Young but really polite and dedicated to their job, as well as the general manager in the morning and his lady assistant.

The hotel just opened a month ago. The staff gave excellent service! I would recommend this hotel to everyone.

I was very impress with the hot breakfast 😋. They provided the guest with cooked oatmeal, turkey/pork/Veggie bacon, scrambled eggs and Canadian ham/bacon.😋 They had FRESH cut fruit EVERY morning: strawberries, cantaloupe, and honeydew melon.😋 They had boiled eggs, toast, a drink fountain of apple, orange, cranberry juice and they had lime water. The breakfast also provided us with a waffle maker. They had a fridge of mimi bottles of milk for your cereal/oatmeal and Chobona vanilla/strawberry yogurt 😋 which is my FAVORITE yogurt. I was very impress and the cooked food was HOT. They kept the food area clean at all times. They front desk clerks, house keeping, and thec2 gentlemen were all so pleasant and nice to everyone. The rooms was nice and clean with a brand new hotel smell. I felt as if I was st home. My family and I traveled to UGA for summer camp for myb3 daughters. I highly recommend this hotel to stay at. Another thing the LONGHORN restaurant right next to it was to die for. The food and service was exceptional alone with Fairfield Inn. My family and I had a wonderful stay.😊

The only thing I would recommend is the hotel put the computer in an area where there's is privacy and a chair for the user to sit in. The computer is out in the open where the hotel traffic is the heaviest.

The location was great. Restaurants are within walking distance. The hotel smelled nice

The first room assigned had a pest problem. There were 2 big flying roaches or Palmetto bugs in the room. However, the hotel attendant was very professional and immediately moved us to a different room. I don't recall her name, but she was very nice and professional.

At breakfast only one salt and pepper and it wasn't put out. Packs would be cleaner. Cereal was out at start and not filled during breakfast. How about some real milk ,not low fat. Most all hotels serve low fat. There is a reason for there being 200 gallons of real milk at the grocery store and only 10 gallons of low fat! Educated people do drink real milk. If low fat where better for you ,God would have made low fat cows! You asked......

The hotel and room were clean and very comfortable. The folks at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful. The walk-in shower was amazing.

Walls were a little thin. When I turned off one tv, the other tv would turn on, which was amusing and a little annoying but not a major issue.

Great location to the main road. Clean room. Good breakfast options. Plenty of restaurants near the hotel.

Wish there was an armchair. My mother accompanied me and has issues with her back, so she typically sleeps in a chair with her feet propped up. She used the desk chair in the room (which was okay), but an armchair would have been a better option for her.

We loved Everything!! The room to the bathroom shower was clean! The bed comfy, my outside view was clear. The breakfast was Good. They even had Vegetarian Breakfast sausages for those who don't eat meat!! And I've NEVER been to a hotel that served veggie meat. Everything was in less than a mile to get to. And the Beach only 10mins away. I will choose this hotel again when I come back. A Very satisfied Customer!!

There was nothing we didn't like.. If you want me to be pretty, well there was no trash can in the bathroom.
