Comfort Inn & Suites Athens

The breakfast was very good for a hotel breakfast. Other hotels don't offer breakfast over such a long period, or as early, or have as quality or variety of food. It wasn't like five star restaurant, but i liked having pancakes and waffles, bagels, syrup, multiple muffins, eggs, bacon and bacon, or sausage. The cereals are good and apple juice and orange juice is nice to have as well. The staff was very friendly, wanted to help, and helped direct me when I was half asleep in the breakfast area. Issues with key card and other things were dealt with very well by the staff. The facilities were also very clean and obviously maintained.

A filtered water dispenser in the breakfast area would be nice. Some aspects of the facilities weren't great. They were very clean, but the walls were a little beat up, the elevator could use some love, and a few things could be touched up here and there, but it was very clean which contrasted with the lower condition of some things.

The lady at the front desk was great and changed our room without us having to ask to a ground floor room and from a two bed to a king suite which I originally wanted when I booked. She was very nice and helpful with advice on where to eat etc.

The pillows on the bed could have been nicer and larger. The height of the counter top in the bathroom needs to be raised to meet today's standards, when you are older this does make a difference. The single largest disappointment was the coffee! It was just plain AWFUL! PERIOD! I don't know how that machine works or where the coffee comes from but it taste like a cheap instant coffee at the breakfast bar. I poured it out and went across the street to McDonalds to get some coffee.

there was plenty of food . appreciated the "bold "button on the coffee maker,the only negative was one morning the chobani yogurt appeared very watery and had a slight sour " off " taste. but eggs , sausage pancakes etc were good . out of 7 days we had sausage every morning and bacon once . the bacon was good !

The breakfast bar was well set up with a variety of choices. The comfort of the beds and cleanliness was a plus. Yet, the greatest benefit was it was quiet and we could get a good nights sleep. Also, it is important to note that the staff was friendly.

One day our garbage cans had not been emptied. That made the room appear a little unkept.

We were there to empty my deceased father in laws storage unit and the hotel was very nice and the beds were super comfortable. We were only a few minutes away from the storage unit so that was good. The staff was very friendly and the breakfast in the morning was delicious. If we ever have to be in Athens again we will stay here again.

Breakfast was great, and the lady that checked me in when we got there was so nice. Beds were comfy and the room was nice and clean! Would definitely stay at this hotel again. Close to downtown Athens, but also very quiet.

The lady that was working at night was kind of rude, but it was also quiet hour, and we had just gotten back from a concert so I can see why she had an attitude with us. No big deal! Overall enjoyed the stay.

Breakfast was great! Never crowded and food was hot with ample selection. Hotel is a bit of a drive from UGA campus but there was a shuttle service on game day weekend that was a nice option. $10 per person and they drop you off anywhere you want to go in Athens. Saves dealing with traffic and parking.

Hotel was very clean and staff was great. There were a few minor repairs needed in our room, just small things like wall scuffs and the exhaust fan did not work in the bathroom, but no big deal. I would stay here again.

Mostly clean. Friendly staff. Easy check in and check out process.

Shower curtain would not stay closed. The curtain kept sliding back to the middle of the bar. The ice box in the room was not cleaned. The lid appeared to have had a broken pen’s ink poured along the edge of the lid and all in the top. We didn’t notice it until we had already replaced the top on our ice. When we opened the lid, the ink had melted into the ice. The ice and surrounding water were blue.

The location was close to where we needed to be and the staff was friendly and courteous. Check in was quick, the beds were very comfortable and the breakfast in the morning was a huge bonus. Loved every moment we were there and would love to stay here again if we visit Athens again.

There wasn't anything we didn't like.

the breakfast wasn’t all that great… we love biscuits and gravy… gravy was thin no chucks of sausage like suppose to… coffee should be brew and not out of a machine… could have been a little better especially since we are in the South!
