Hotel Covington Cincinnati Riverfront

The hotel is well located even though it's not by the riverside. The valet service is very pleasant. The style is very charming and the staff does their job perfectly. We enjoyed the decor, and while the overall building isn't new (be aware if you're seeking a modern hotel), the restaurant, bar, and lobby offer a unique atmosphere. Regarding the floors, the elevator is newly renovated and the corridors are somewhat "old" and a bit dark, but frankly, the renovation is beautiful (note: if you don't appreciate the sound of wooden floors, this might not be for you!) There's no coffee in the room and tokens are provided (either delivered or to be picked up downstairs) and the mini bar is well-stocked - with a fridge.

We mostly thought highly of it... But if you don't like renovated hotels, don't book! But honestly, the style and appearance are very well redone, very modern and stylish... There's no coffee in the room, but you can request it by phone or go get it downstairs - simple. For us, it wasn't a problem, but the wooden floors creak (underfoot), even though the entire place is perfectly renovated and attractive! The corridors on the floors are a bit gloomy, but again, that's in contrast to the overall style and the pleasant renovation.

The hotel is stylish and fun. As a fan of architecture, I enjoyed the soaring atrium and many spaces to hang out. Being a renovated department store gives it a cool vibe. The room was huge. I liked the eggplant walls, minibar was delightful and bed excellent. The room was quiet and I slept well. The staff is welcoming and very helpful.

The hotel is beautiful, both the common areas and our actual room and the staff were super helpful

The shower controller was not securely attached and we had to keep re-attaching it in order to control the shower. The toilet roll holder was also broken - it would've been impossible for the hotel not to have known this. The air conditioning in the reception bar area was so incredibly cold, I had to wear my coat at the bar!

There was no complimentary breakfast. The breakfasts for purchase were not as nice as what would be expected for a better hotel,

The restaurant was very loud! We had just flown in & expected to have a romantic dinner. We could barely hear each other. There were several weddings that took place while we were there. Unfortunately, after the weddings, the guests used the lobby for their “pre” reception before heading across the street where the noise from the reception kept us awake. Unless you’re part of a wedding, those things are not enjoyed by other guests,

The Covington Hotel is a beautiful property. We were amazed at the comfort and beauty of our room. We'r traveled there to be with our friend who was honored to be the hometown hero at the Reds game. It was a spur of the moment trip. We could not have been happier with our choice. Breakfast was delicious! We said we would drive seven hours again just for that gravy biscuit! The staff were all wonderful. We were provided a free shuttle to the game. Our driver was very friendly. We had a fabulous weekend.

Location was perfect for our concert at the Madison! The hotel was just beautiful, staff was very professional and friendly. The bed was very comfy and the room wasa great size for the two of us but still cozy! Loved the restaurant in the lobby, very good.

No fan in the bathroom so it got a bit stuffy during my shower. No on site parking, had to valet, but $20 wasn't too bad for the night.

The Hotel Covington is a beautiful hotel with plush decor and a sophisticated aesthetic. I do feel the price we paid was a good value for the level of comfort. The room and rest of the hotel were very clean. In addition, customer service was excellent. The staff was friendly and very professional. Our stay was enjoyable and we will definitely return. My only ideas for improvement (and the difference between me giving an 8, rather than a 10) are: 1. On Saturday, we had to listen to hotel room doors banging shut constantly as housekeeping cleaned the rooms. The housekeeper kept the bolt to the lock in the open position and allowed the door to slam shut, with the bolt slamming against the frame multiple times for each room she cleaned on our floor. It literally shook the walls to our room at times. A simple fix would be using a door stop, so the cleaning staff can enter/exit the rooms without disturbing the guests. 2. I ordered room service from Coppin’s and though the food was delicious and served quickly, the temperature of the soup and Brussels sprouts I ordered was was barely lukewarm. For the cost, I expected the food to be served hot. Overall, a great stay!

It’s a gorgeous property located in a beautifully restored part of Covington, Kentucky. It’s still walking distance from the Roebling Bridge which gives full access to downtown Cincinnati.

What a great hotel with amazing style and design. Truly one of a kind! The onsite bar and restaurant is also amazing. Trust me on this, you have to order the tator tots. They are out of this world (and not what your expecting).
