Hampton Inn and Suites Cincinnati - Downtown

I like that it was downtown and close to a lot of restaurants and just 5 min away to the casino. U could also walk 15 min and get there. But it was cold so we drove lol. Staff was great especially the lady that checked us out, who just moved to Cincinnati recently. She was so sweet and down to earth, I'm bad with names. But she was great and really helpful.

I didn't like that they only had me down for 1 night instead of 2. And then charges popped up on my banking account for extra pay. But they handled it and refunded my money. Just check your account often. Other then that I had a wonderful time and the valet staff was kind and friendly and helped us when we wanted to know where something was that was in walking distance.

Staff was lovely for the most part, very friendly and accommodating even though they were running into some issues out of their control with wifi. They also had good recommendations for local food/entertainment. Liked that the gym was so easy to find and pretty clean.

Breakfast was unimpressive and I didn't love all the disposable bowls and cutlery. Check in was a bit confusing as we first went to the valet on the first floor, then the wrong side of the lobby. I don't really understand why this building is two almost identical hotels with basically all the same amenities on each side in the lobby.

I like how affordable this place was for the location, bed we requested, bathroom/shower, parking space nearby or valet availability, along with breakfast provided.

I thought it was odd for the room not to have a fridge. A lot of places I’ve stayed even less valued and they have a fridge. I didn’t realize it on the site but will make sure in the future. The only way to have one if you chose the room like a kitchen suite. Also the ice machine did not work at all during our stay. We had to go down to the floor below us to get ice. The hotel was very muggy/hot in the halls and our room took quite some time to cool down. The hallways in 11 and 12 were a little dirty could be vacuumed in multiple areas.

In a beautiful, historic building with good location. Walking distance to the riverfront and Fountain Square. Great customer service who helped us with holding our luggage for the day. Satisfying, hot breakfast of eggs, hashbrowns, bacon, toast, bagels, muffins, fruit, waffles, and yogurt.

The staff seemed busy or understaffed, maybe. There is one person covering the phones and assisting guests at the desk. When they were gone, the sister hotel next door covered both phones. I had no problem with it but a less patient person might get upset.

Very easy to check in and check out. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. Perfect location that's close to anything you'd want and need. Meeting spaces are also comfortable and nicely designed.

It is a bit pricey. I mean, the hotel is nice, but it's not $300/night nice. The carpets and bathtubs are a bit outdated. They function just fine, for but the price you'd think I'm staying in some high-end designer space. Not only was it not that, but I got a room that looked into an alley and nothing else. Literally NO view of anything. For $300/night?!? That was the best ya'll could do?? Crazy. Also, one entire side of the elevators didn't work.

The breakfast was great and I liked the location.

I reserved a room with a walk in bath in the room for my handicap mother.when we arrived after 4pm the room wasn’t available and they gave us another room but it wasn’t what I really wanted. The next day I asked to switch to the room I originally reserved but was given another room with a walk in shower not tub. So I was disappointed.

I love the historical building!

the room was nice but the bathroom could have used a bit more thorough clean. there were random hairs in the sink and bathtub that were not mine or my friend’s. I’m not sure if it is bc this was a handicapped accessible room or not but the toilet was oddly close to the counter and it was uncomfortable to say the least. a bit strange. the lampshades were dirty and dented so it just made the room look a bit unclean

The breakfast was wonderful ! Hot food and they refilled food ! Everything was kept clean and neat. It was so nice to be able to eat at the hotel and not pay extra for it or have extra time to wait for a server. Coffee available anytime ! Love it ! Also such a beautiful hotel ! Clean carpets, nice beds ! I'm very pleased.

I wasn't aware of the parking situation and fee involved. Valet parking and a $42.00 dollar fee. I wish I would have read through the site when I booked. My car was safe and secure so I guess it was worth it.

The fact that I had a serious problem in my room and I told the manager, Zach, about it, he then informed me of the facility protocol, switched my room, and followed up to make sure that everything was okay after that. What made this experience quite unbelievable to me was, Zach was more than happy to take care of this problem for me, was VERY kind while handling the situation, and did all of this with absolutely no resistance, not a lot of questions, just happy to solve the problem for me. I have never had that type of service before when there was a problem at any other hotel I've ever stayed in. A memorable experience. It's my 1st choice of hotels to stay in downtown Cincinnati!!

The location was ideal for us to walk to the Great American Ballpark for the Reds game! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming right from the start! Accommodations were just what we needed for our small family of three!

Having to park in the parking garage that was not attached to the hotel was rather inconvenient. The elevator was broken, which made it even more difficult with our bags.
