Staff was friendly. Due to health issues we needed a first floor room . I called ahead and they accommodated my request. We were appreciative of the help. As always with reviews, I am hesitant of them…so I read to see if I can live with what the reviewer find as negative aspects. The recent reviews posted were pretty spot on. The location was great, beds and pillows comfortable, the room was clean and the bathroom was spacious. The outside looked fine and well kept. There were ample towels. Yes, the soap is a bit rough, the folks upstairs seem to stomp when they walk and the shower next door could be heard in the bathroom. No of these things were issues for us. Honestly the only issue we had was the light bulb near the tub and shower was burnt out. I could have called the office but we just dealt with it as we were tired. I would stay here again.

The owner was so kind to help me unload my bags as I had just had a medical procedure and was in extreme pain. He also placed me in a handicapped room which was so helpful as I walk with a crutch and have balance and pain issues. The bed and pillows were like sleeping on a cloud.

I did use a blanket that was in the closet. This blanket smelled like smoke, even though my rental was a non smoking area. I know the owner must be extremely busy, but the blanket needs a wash that gets rid of smoke odor.

Location was great, close to Old Orchard Beach and to Portland. Right off Route 1 but in a quiet neighborhood around houses. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff we interacted with were pleasant and polite. Breakfast was simple, few cereals and fruit available.

Shampoo, conditioner and soap provided but not greatest quality. Not really an issue if you bring your own. Area in general tends to have expensive rates in summer.

Very hospitable owner/management, Very comfortable bed(10/10) room is nice size , clean, cozy, & safe, reasonable price. Would have stayed longer if i had not already booked at an other hotel for the following two weeks while working in the area.

i really don't have any bad qualms, the bathroom is really cold but this is maine after all, my room was on the end by the stairs which was a bit on the noisy side, but i think it was mainly due to occupants upstairs more than the hotels fault,

The staff is very friendly and accommodating. They provided extra towels and blankets upon request. They did have to change out the lock on our door and it did not take them long to take care of it.

The bed was harder than I'm used to, but that is a personal preference. The stairs were right next to our room. We could hear the other guests when they were coming or going. We could also hear the upstairs room any time the toilet was flushed.

Manager was friendly. Fantastic location. Secure and very convenient.

The carpet desperately needs to be replaced! Terribly worn out and smells bad.

I loved the enthusiasm of the manager. He wanted to help me unload the car! While they didnt read my special request until just before arrival... we were still given an awesome handicap room.

There needs to be safety bars near the toilet. A lot of spackle could fill various holes from former fixtures! People smoking cigarettes and weed right outside our door.

Room was clean. A good value for the money.

Bedding wasn't white so it's difficult to know if it was truly clean or not. They only provided two towels upon checkin so we had to ask for more.

Breakfast wasn’t much, coffee was good. Real cream instead of the powdered stuff. I was allowed to have my dog even tho they don’t allow pets, that was awesome!

More of a selection for the breakfast and shampoos and soap were skimpy.
