Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott New Bedford

The staff was incredible! From check to check out! The front desk staff was so kind, helpful, just incredible!

only negative was the breakfast lady all three mornings! She didn’t fit with the rest of exceptional staff! But luckily everyone else was just awesome! No joke, the made each of my family feel welcomed, accommodating, & as if we were regulars, which weren’t. 1st stay at this location & I just can’t say enough! Special shout out to Nicole, John & Larry who went over and above being welcoming & exceptionally pleasant!

Chose this hotel for convenience to transport connections. It is right on the harbor, and a few tens of meters from the ferry terminus for Oak Bluffs (and Nantucket). The hotel is modern and comfortable. Breakfast (included with the room) was good, and the egg/meat dish varied from day to day. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It is right on the harbor, and when you emerge from the hotel it very much smells like a working fishing port.

The hotel is less than a mile from family we were visiting. For tourists, it couldn't possibly better located; also less than a mile from major attractions like the New Bedford Whaling Museum, Seamen's Bethel, Johnnycake Hill, ferries to Martha's Vineyard & Nantucket, Buttonwood Park Zoo and nice restaurants. The room was clean, the king bed very comfortable, staff very helpful & courteous and the in-room coffee surprisingly tasty.

The price or room rates could have been just a little less and the prices for snacks out of the vending machines were unreasonable. Three dollars for a bottle of water? Really? A dollar fifty for a handful of Cheetos? Really?

Once we’d checked in we didn’t need are our for the 3 days we were there! The SeaStreak Ferry was just a couple of blocks away, as well as what became our favorite restaurant: The Black Whale.

Can’t think of anything negative!

This place was amazing made me feel so comfortable and was above my expectations. The area is absolutely beautiful with the boat wharf across the street and the sunsets and sun risings being spectacular. Breakfast and staff was warm welcoming. I would definitely recommend it to anyone wanting to come visit the beautiful New Bedford city of so much history ❤️

Clean and convenient

I liked my stay. Quiet room. Comfortable bed and pillows. Windows that open to ventilate the room. Fast check in / check out. Fitness center had all I need and was very clean with window that opens. Breakfast was good (I just had omelette). Room /bathroom were clean except dust on the top of TV and some other alike surfaces.

Some better dust cleaning (TV top, etc). Though I see this dust in all that type hotels and this is expected

location was excellent

The room had a slightly weird smell to it. It was clean and all, but took a while to clear out the odor—a mix between musty and cleaning product smell.

it was a great quick check in, the next day I decided to stay over the room I was in was booked for the nite but they moved me to another one at 11am and was perfect! first time and not the last time for this property.

It was on the waterfront and very easy to walk everywhere. The staff was welcoming and helpful. The room was quiet and clean. I would definitely stay here again

There was nothing that I did not like. Everything met or exceeded my expectations.

breakfast was very good and tasty. We didn"t have a car available--so we walked to restaurants which were excellent. We could view the seaport.

For our use-I can"t think of anything.
