Best Western On The Avenue

Everything here exceeded our expectations! We felt safe and comfortable. Everyone was very helpful and answered any questions we had with a smile! We had never visited Buffalo or The Falls before and needed some information and guidance on where to go. The General Manager, Troy J. Tripi, went over and beyond helping us to find our way safely to our destination of The Falls! He also took the time to share much of the history of the city of Buffalo with us! We felt like we were enjoying a free tour of Buffalo right there in the hotel lobby and couldn't wait to visit the Falls after listening to Troy.

Overall we were happy with the hotel, the room, the linens, the breakfast, the staff, the location, the parking. We slept well and we enjoyed a great continental breakfast. The manager came to breakfast to meet his guests and chatted with everyone including us. The front desk staff was nice and helpful.

The only thing we were less pleased with is that we could smell cigarette smoke in the corridor on our first day...maybe part of the building has some smokers' rooms? While our room didn't have any smell, our other reserved room had a funky smell like a deodorant to cover some smoke smell...

Nice stay. Rooms were nice and clean. Surprisingly quiet for being on a busy street. Hot breakfast was really good. Loved the bird in the lobby! Overall really good!

Rooms were a little "tight", not a lot of room to move. The sink/counter was outside the bathroom, which I absolutely hate because you have to wake up your entire family by turning on the lights so you can get ready instead of doing it behind a closed bathroom door and letting them sleep longer. Someone does need to be available in the breakfast room, as the milk and waffle batter were completely empty and no one around to fill them back up.

Staff was nice, especially the receptionist. Room was comfortable, bed, bathroom, TV, AC, refrigerator were all great. Good lighting and plenty of outlets to charge my tech. Lobby was ice cold which felt great on a hot day. Cute bird in the lobby also. Breakfast was delicious

My view wasn't great because I was on 1st floor, however, I was able to keep a close eye on my vehicle, so I liked that. Vending machines were on the 2nd floor but I'm just glad they had some.

Location is fantastic to see downtown sites and great neighborhood to walk with lots of restaurants and bars. Easy day trip by city bus to the Falls. Hotel staff was friendly and the room was clean and comfortable. No problems or issues. Let us keep our luggage the whole day after checkout with no charge.

Free breakfast wasn't great. Maybe we came down a little too close to the cutoff time but what hot food was left looked like it had been sitting pretty long.

Good size room, microwave & fridge, plus included a pretty good breakfast with hot dishes and a waffle maker.

Fair internet, could hear other guests clearly in hallways and walking in room above.

Everyone was very helpful and kind, room was great , good breakfast choices , great location for a lot of good activities in the downtown area. Loved the Historical part of Buffalo and Buffalo Bay close to location . A really fine place to visit.

The Parking was terrible , not enough spaces for size of building , very hard to get a spot at certain times of day. Spaces small , cars cramped next to each other , motorcycles taking full spots , could of had a destined location. But ya can't get around selfish people that do that.

Easy to find. In trendy Allentown but not overpriced. Receptionist asked us if we preferred a non- smoking room, which we had forgotten to specify. The window in the room could be opened so we had fresh air when we wanted. This property is in an older building and the lobby is dark, the Breakfast room was through a dark corridor but was pleasant and the meal was fine.

Could use a few more hooks to hang up coats or wet towels. Small bathroom.

We booked an apartment where smoking is allowed by mistake and were scared that we would have to stay there, but the staff immediately changed our room to the non smoking one which was super nice. Breakfast was fine, rooms and beds were super cosy, and what is also worth mentioning was Troy that adviced us about the Niagara trip. He told us very interesting stories and made our trip easy. Also the area of the hotel is safe and full of nice places to sit, don’t miss Colter Bay for food and drinks - you won’t regret going there.

Staff is friendly, helpful, and provide information on restaurants, routes, transportation, etc. They are responsive to any complaints about noisy guests, etc., and act quickly. They were sold out and were still great and very patient with any type of guest. Hotel is a little dated but kept clean. Perfect location for events and restaurants. Parking a little tight, but that's not hotel's fault. Great shower and bed, rooms nicely refreshed.

Not much, really. If you're looking for a big or fancy lobby, this hotel lacks that, but that's it. Breakfast room feels like a basement!
