The Edward Buffalo

The Edward is a wonderful hotel - I stayed there during a recent business trip and was delighted with every aspect of my stay. The hotel is stylish and beautifully designed; the rooms are well-appointed and very comfortable; the location is ideal; and the atmosphere of the hotel is peaceful and cozy. The hotel has a self check-in system that is secure, safe, and easy to navigate. And, the owner - Erin - was so helpful and accommodating during my stay. I recommend The Edward unreservedly - it is a lovely place to stay!

Beautiful room, comfortable bed. Great price for a luxurious stay.

An employee entered our room unannounced late at night. Caught us completely off guard. After making our presence known they claimed to be house keeping, apologized and left. Was very odd at that time of night.

My husband and I visited The Edward hotel for the first time and we will most definitely be back again soon. the Chelsea suite was emasculate , sparking clean , the most comfortable bed , simple cute and cozy. the digital door code made for a very convenient and easy no contact check in and no need for a room key. the price is adorable for those on a tight budget. Our new favorite spot for sure !

It was secure, very clean, convenient parking. The bed was super soft. I would stay here again 10 out of 10 times visiting Buffalo.

It took a while, 5 minutes, for there to be hot water in the shower but once it was there it was fine. Bathroom was small but adequate. Lighting in the room was kind of dim.

The location is excellent - close to restaurants, coffee shops and the art gallery which was one of the main reasons for our visit. The self check-in and checkout is a different process for a hotel but instructions we received by email were very clear and we had no issues. Our room was tastefully decorated, the bed and pillows very comfortable and we liked the In-room coffee maker and complimentary granola bars.

We figured out on our own that when leaving the hotel we needed to tap the lock symbol on the keypad. It might seem obvious but it would have been helpful if this was mentioned in our instructions.

My husband and I were greeted and treated like royalty by Erin, the manager. We arrived in Buffalo at The Edward 3 hours earlier than we were scheduled to check in. She offered to let us wait in the pausch meeting room and elegant reception area with snacks and drinks and beverages provided. The attention to detail in the renovation of this elegant mansion was exquisite. We even had a working fireplace in our room.

Nothing.

Erin was amazing. Snow storm prevented me from making it to Buffalo. Erin reduced my room rate when Booking.com wouldn't. When I go back to Buffalo I will stay at The Edward.

the water in the tub didn’t get as hot as the shower but everything else was perfection so I can’t complain

Such a charming hotel! Though I didn't see any staff on-site, the texts for entering the building and finding my room were helpful. My first floor room was quiet and the bed was very comfortable, and the snacks were a nice touch. I deeply appreciated the eco-friendly approach, too! I'm adding this to my list of favorite places to stay in Buffalo.

As others have mentioned, parking is iffy. I was lucky to get the last spot in the lot -- I didn't see any room on the street. Also, could do with a "watch your step" sign in the entry - I was so enthralled by the desk that I tripped right over the first step. But maybe others are less klutzy than I am. :)

I liked the self-check in and the texts from the staff person to make sure I knew how to access the main door and my room. Very attentive. I also thought the ambiance was some of the best I've seen for a hotel in a long time. It was quiet, the room was clean and comfortable, and the price was very reasonable.

Could have been a little clearer in the email instructions what I needed to do for check-out. I texted the staff person who'd texted me at check-in, and she told me I was all set. So it was fine, but would be good to include that in the guest instructions in the future so I was less confused/worried.
