Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Manhattan/Central Park

I really enjoyed my stay there, when looking for a hotel it checked all the boxes and even has breakfast included. Hotel is new, well equipped with comfy beds and clean rooms. Staff is really nice and reactive, they even granted my request for a room high up and far from the elevator.

If I had one remark it would be making sure both elevators are always in service. One was out of service for several days and it was a pain to wait or take the stairs.

Wonderful location , welcoming Staff . We have requested early check in if possible and they did their best to provide it . Very clean and in good neighborhood . They had complimentary breakfast

There was no breakfast due to Corona and there was complimentary one. Unfortunately it was not fresh every day . I believe what was not consumed yesterday , was offered on the next morning , so it was not fresh and you could tell.

Check-in was quick and easy and staff was very friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and comfortable with a lovely view of the city which I had requested. The location was perfect as it is in walking distance to all the areas I was interested in; Lincoln Center, Broadway, Central Park, and the excellent restaurants on 9th avenue.

Unfortunately there are only two elevators, one of which was out of service during the entirety of my stay, as the hotel was full this caused extremely long wait times. Housekeeping had quite a struggle as well since there are no service elevators specifically for them. I felt that the hotel should have offered a free drink or discount as this was quite an inconvenience.

lift was too slow often waiting 20 minutes to come and because of this felt dangerous at time s as people crammed in as no one wants to wait 20 minutes for the next lift , so unfortunately we won’t be returning to this hotel next trip for that reason

Very convenient location, within walking distance of Central Park, Times Square and Broadway. The rooms and hotel are very clean and the staff are efficient and friendly. Breakfast is included which is handy but it’s only prepackaged hot food, small pastries, porridge, tea and coffee which is all served on disposable plates. We didn’t use the fitness room but it looks well-equipped. Overall good value for NYC.

The location is very good: close to Central Park and less than 10mn by foot from a convenient subway station. The breakfast buffet is good also: fresh fruits are available and you can load your batteries for a long day discovery through the town. Rooms are just enough in size but they are clean.

The elevators are way too long. If you can, try to get a room on the lower floors: you could then easily use the stairs. By the way, it will warm you up for the rest of the day. Upon your arrival, be sure that your reservation is for the right number of nights you booked with Booking: you would avoid the risk of being charged for an unexpected extra-night. Fortunately enough the hotel staff was reactive and kind to find a solution.

Very friendly staff, clean and comfortable room. 10 minute walk to nearest large central subway station. Breakfast was basic, but for us plenty enough choices. A bit early though. On weekdays from 06:30 to 9. One would like to wake up a bit later on once holiday, but that is a personal opinion

The room was only cleaned once during 5 day stay. It's a bit frustrating to have to ask for clean towels every day and have the bins spill over (There were 4 of us, with high temperatures and humidity, you just use up your towels and there just is waste)

The staff were very happy and friendly, always welcoming. Housekeeping was every other day without the need to request - not stripped back to request only like a lot of Hotels these days. The price and location were good for New York.

The elevators were extremely slow and we ended up using the stairs a lot, especially in the morning. I would not recommend staying on a high floor for this reason. The air con units are quite noisy, even when turned down. The breakfast cutlery and plates were disposable. I saw alot of complaints in reviews about this prior to staying so it was disappointing to see the Hotel hasn't addressed it despite commenting they would. Unfortunately it seems the US is overall very behind with this, this could be an opportunity for Marriott to be a leader in this space?

Breakfast was terrific! Staff was friendly and cheerful.

I was in NY for graduation and needed a cold space to store flower bouquet for the grad overnight. You’d think i asked to put up a horse overnight. Had to resort to keeping room very cold. HVAC system coming on all night was very noisy in my room 115. Given the price I’d expect a quieter room and some help with the flowers. Staff was pretty aloof except for the female bartender who let me use her small vase for Mother’s Day tulips gifted to me while i was there, and the breakfast staff who were very friendly and cheerful.

Everything about the hotel was excellent. As a Marriott Rewards member, it met the expectations I have come to expect from Marriott.

The price was outrageous. When I booked through Booking.com, which I would normally not do for a Marriott, I saw a more reasonable price. However, after confirmation, that price was for the next day, not the date requested. I immediately contacted Booking.com and my request for a date change and refund was rejected. I contacted the hotel and received the same response. Instead of losing my payment, I ended up paying and additional $150 to get the correct date.
