I was travelling with my two young children having spent time with family in upper NY state we hadn't seen since pre-Covid. I then wanted to spend a few days in NYC with my children to show them around and explore and create more memories. My cousin used to live around the corner from the Lucerne and my uncle highly recommended you - I am so delighted that I took their advice!! From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, the staff were amazing and so friendly and helpful, especially the doormen with their suggestions and help with the children, the location was absolutely perfect - we walked to so many places from the hotel and also used the subway as it was so handy, plus we felt very safe everywhere we went. Our 'go-to' for snacks and evening eats was the Deli opposite - the guys in there were great and always had a kind word for the children. Plus NY Pizza was delicious!! I really wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone and we shall most definitely be returning. Thank you to ALL the hotel team for making our stay memorable and special.

There is nothing that we didn't like - we were really happy with everything.

I loved this hotel. The front desk was extremely accommodating. The restaurant was excellent - we had lunch there because we were short on time and it was Outstanding. It's extremely convenient to the West Side subways which will bring you right to Broadway. Absolute Bagels is a stone's throw. Lincoln Center is a stone's throw. It's in a neighborhood, so you won't be overwhelmed by noise. You get to observe how NYers live. there are so many exceptional restaurants nearby, you'll eat fantastic food at non-tourist prices. I've lived in NYC, I've stayed in NYC (Peninsula, 4 Seasons, Intercontinental Times Square). I would return here, no holds barred. You have a wonderful hotel! For anyone staying in NYC from out of town... the 1/9 subway trains are North/South local., West Side The 2/3 are express n/s, West Side. If you want to get across town, you have to take a bus or walk. I'd suggest walking Central Park South. Don't walk across town through Central Park at night.

The air conditioning might've been easier to use. I like my room cold in the winter (65 degrees). I couldn't figure out how to make it colder than 68 degrees.

The staff of The Lurcerne Hotel are exceptional -- always ready to please with a smile. The hotel is incredibly clean, both the public areas and rooms. Not a thing out of place. The location of the hotel is wonderful for visiting all of Manhattan and beyond due to its close proximity to the subway and bus systems.

The room was lovely, very clean, and well-appointed except for the fact that there was no type of comfortable chair or sofa to relax in. The only place to sit in the room was on the king-sized bed or the task chair at the desk. Strange!

We ate breakfast twice at Nice Matin, the in-hotel restaurant, and it was delicious. Convenience of the restaurant in the hotel helped getting our days off to an early start as well. This was our first time staying in a “big city” hotel so it was an adjustment over our usual motel stays. Great place - staff was very helpful and friendly - service was great in all regards. Hotel location was perfect - easy access to the subway and parking for our car was only a block away.

Honestly, can’t think of anything we really disliked. We’d consider staying here again if we return to NYC in the future.

The location was excellent , a short walk from central park , Nat history Musuem and the MET. The hotel was spotlesslessly clean and the Housekeeking was excellent. Friendly staff and very helpful a lovely stay. 15% off breakfast for hotel guests was useful

Everything was great and there wasn't anything we didn't like. I would perhaps like to have seen the 15% off extended to evening meals but Nice Matin the restaurant next door is a separate entity so its was probably up to them for this

Very comfortable bed and bedding, room was spotlessly clean and the air con worked well which was something I didn’t think we’d need near the end of October. Location was great with having many restaurants within a block away as was the 79th street subway station which the 1 train serviced. being midway between Central Park and riverside park meant we were only about a 15 minute walk away from either. having stayed closer to Times Square in the past I found this neighbourhood a breath of fresh air, while having a NYC buzz to it, it’s not full of tourists so you feel like you’ve really stayed in the city and not a tourist attraction.

Comfortable room with a good deal of space. Clean, comfortable, excellent staff who accommodate needs. Great location, restaurants, bars, stores and Duane Reed are in few minutes walking distance. Quite great for work related stays. Wi-Fi is very good, there is also a business center.

The water took a while to get hot. One morning I skipped the shower as I would have been late for work. That has happened a few times. Some rooms are better than other. The other issue was the coffee maker needed some finagling to finally get it to perform. Not a big deal but waking early for work, it is not to have a cup of coffee. Regardless I will continue booking the Lucerne. The good outweigh the minor inconvenience.

There were 6 of us, and we arrived before check in, but could leave all of our luggage with the hotel so we could go enjoy our day. The room was large for NYC. Two full size beds in each room were comfortable and cozy. No refrigerator in room, but ice available right down the hall. Restaurant on ground floor with outdoor seating was great which we used for breakfast. They accommodated our request to have the rooms next to each other which made it convenient for the family.

We had to ask for more toilet paper.
