1 Hotel Central Park

Location cannot be beaten, as a Mum & Daughter travelling alone for the first time, I was concerned about how safe we would feel! The streets surrounding the hotel are clean, always busy (but not too busy) and in general feel very safe. The doormen are always there to greet you or to help with luggage/give advice or to arrange any transport. Extremely Impressed.

The price of room service was incredibly expensive.

the rooms were quite small, there was no room to put the luggage, so it was on our way the whole time.

I would like to admit that I have no problem with Hotel location, it is excellent if you want to be close to Central Park. I have no problem with staff. Very friendly and professional. They gave us room before 3 pm, immediately upon arrival. Hotel is clean. I have a problem with price $500 per night and designation of hotel with 5 stars. I have been in many European Countries 5 star hotels and in many New York 5 star Hotels. There is a difference. Queen room is very tiny and small for two people. Almost not possible to move in side. One person has to wait. And if you don't have a view it is extremely dark in the room with all light on.

The way the hotel is decorated, and cares about recycling, is amazing. There is an application one can use on the phone to order food, meditations and etc. The smell of shampoo, shower gel and cream is very good. A nespresso machine is in the room and they bring capsules every day.

I imagined breakfast would be included, given the room price. I hoped the windows could have been opened more. I stayed at this hotel 2 times, the second time the view was bad, on some technical backyard.

THe location of 1 Hotel Central Park is outstanding, one block from Central Park, close to various subway stops, and across the street from some good restaurants. It is within walkable distance of Penn Station.

We travel quite a bit to NY ( min 25 days per year). Look n feel at 10, staff hospitality a 10, Value and Price is a 7.5. Business and leaisute customers can stay within 5 blocks on One hotel for at least $100 night less. For multiple night guest it makes a significant difference for deciding where to stay. Great stay, including for our dog. No pet fee (with the understanding you'd pay for any damage of course) and great dog bed, bowls and treats. Perfect spot to walk in Central Park in the mornings (a block away). Pretty rooom, comfortable and nice touches like a rain shower and controlling all the room lights from the bed side (so one touch and the room is dark).

This hotel is fabulous. Live plants everywhere. Quiet. Clean. Pleasant. These are features make this a wonderful place to stay. I loved their gym which had great equipment. In the heart of Manhattan, one block from Central Park. Great location for everything you want to do in Manhattan.

We are very disappointed in the billing. The cost was not as represented on the Bookings.com site. Every night was billed as a different amount which increased the "fees and taxes" aspect as a percentage to $1000 more than we had thought we would pay. The breakfast included part was really a $30 credit in their restaurant. The items were so expensive that $30 bought a bowl of oatmeal, 2 coffees and some fruit.

The Hotel is in a very good location . It has a view of Central park along the side of the building and looking on to 6th Ave. Easy access to the subway making it easy to get around New York. Steps to central park.

We had a problem with the heating and A/C control. Had to call the front desk to change the settings every time as the motion control did not release the temp. control to the occupants. Stayed in the default of 66F. Too cold for us .
