Nice room, staff was very friendly, breakfast was good, plenty of space, great view of the mountains on the back side of the motel.

The mattress was very firm. It made it rather uncomfortable trying to get a good night's sleep. But that's really a preference thing, not their fault. I just like to have a little bit of give is all. The outside definitely needs updating. The railings are rusty and the paint is peeling off. The concrete sidewalks/walkways are all chipped up or peeling off. The good thing is that you can tell that they have recently updated the inside, which was nice. I was a little concerned about what kind of shape it would be in by looking at the outside. But I was pleasantly surprised.

great location, clean. The rooms and bathroom were clean. The microwave and refrigerator were appreciated since we had leftovers and bought food at the grocery store. the staff were very friendly and helpful.

the property was fine. the only suggestion is the shower curtain rod needs to be straight instead of curved. The curtain wouldn’t stay in place on the curved rod and gravitated towards the center which allowed cold in and the water to spray out the sides. Also, in the cold months please put an extra blanket in the rooms. it gets cold and when your already in your pajamas you don’t feel like leaving to go outside and walk to the front desk for a blanket.

We really enjoyed staying here. It is located in between sugar and beech mountain and tons of things near by. The staff was very welcoming. The room was clean and had everything we needed in it. Staff let's you know if you're staying multiple days that housekeeping will not go in your room so you just put your trash and dirty linens outside the door and they will pick them up. And you can always call for more linens and a room freshen after 3 nights.

The breakfast could've been better and the towels were not the best.

Front desk ladies were wonderful and gave us excellent directions and told us about a super-good, Italian Resturant nearby that is across from the Food Lion in a strip mall. They had great pizza and pasta dishes. The guy at the hotel who was cooking and serving the "free" breakfast, was so kind and friendly and everything was so good with many choices to choose from! The room was nice and very comfortable and the location was perfect for us go to and enjoy Grandfather Mountain as well as Beech and Snow Mountains!

Hotel could use some updates or remodeling, but very good overall. The lobby was somewhat outdated and dark and dreary. Rooms were a little outdated but large, clean and comfortable!

The staff was exceptional! The beds are small but comfortable with good pillows. The pool and pool area was very nice. The location was perfect. My family and I would definitely stay again! I can not boast on the staff enough, so kind and inviting. Would stay again just because I know we would be treated well!

The snack machines were outdated but had a good selection of snacks. I would just prepare by bringing your own or have change ready.

Check-in was easy, the clerk was friendly and professionnal. My room was very clean. I had a handicap room and it was very well laid out. The hot breakfast was varied in the choices, I really enjoyed it.

The heat made a clicking sound when it turned on so it was hard to go to sleep though once asleep it didn't bother me. The layout of where the rooms are was confusing at first since I got there at night.

We checked in pretty late, around midnight, and the person manning the desk was just amazing and seemed to be in a great mood (which is contagious :) ). The room was clean (I'm very picky) and the bed and pillows were comfortable. The hot and cold breakfast options were decent as well - although the pancake machine was on the fritz. The outside surroundings are beautiful and the place was quiet.

My wife and I travel throughout NC several times over the last 10 years. We came to see the Woolly Worm Festival. The location of this motel was perfect! The room is one of the best we have stayed in over years - clean, excellent condition, and a helpful staff. We would recommend this motel to everyone.

We have no complaints. It was easy to find, reasonably priced and quiet.

They made sure I got a first floor room which I had asked for initially and when I called to check about room they they didn't have anymore first floor pet rooms and it was too late for me to do anything else and when I got there they had set me up with a first floor room anyway which I appreciate.

The staff was great! Check in staff in the afternoon and the morning staff both were the friendliest people we have ever encountered!

The very loud young people that kept bumping music and yelling back and forth from 2nd floor to the parking lot. It was made worse when they locked their keys into their already running truck that needed a muffler....with the music already blaring....at 8am! Hopefully they were able to be that loud because the staff just didn't know? Also, the pillows were tiny, but I always bring my own just in case.
