Aloft Cleveland Downtown

Based upon past reviews, I was not expecting much, but I found the staff at the reception very kind and helpful, parking valet service great, the bar tender very kind, and the room certainly adequate. The style of the hotel is similar to many modern European hotels starting in around 20 years ago. The area was popular with the emerging younger generation, numerous wedding receptions, and activities. A very nice respectful multi-cultural area. Near enough with a little walking to sporting events and cultural locations.

All of downtown Cleveland is a bit overpriced. Traffic patterns as in many cities are a bit complicated.

Great location. The staff was friendly and helpful. Check in was easy as well as check out. The lady who tended the bar was really nice and cordial. The room was clean and as pictured. Complimentary washes in the shower is nice touch. Great views from the terrace

For the cost you would expect a complimentary breakfast. The cost for daily parking is outrageous and was not aware that would be an additional cost. The shower is nice but water leaks out the door and puddles on the floor.

We were there for a family wedding and were very impressed by the accommodations for the wedding and especially for the venue of the actual ceremony. It was beautiful! The reception afterward was very nice…..good food, good music, good bar service. It was a great event!

It was hard to navigate going up and down the floors with different elevators. It was very confusing at first. The fact that there was no restaurant in the hotel, just Lago downstairs. We were craving breakfast and there was no place close. When we asked about a breakfast place, the staff had no good answers. The room was kind of awkward with no drawers to put clothing as we were staying for five days. Also, no sitting area at all.

There were some nice restaurants close by and we were heading to the rock ‘n’ roll Hall of Fame in the morning. This was very convenient. The facility was clean and easy access. The vallet service was super easy.

It seemed geared more toward people, traveling for business. The elevator situation was odd.

Everything! The room was amazing with a view of the lake. Staff was so friendly and had conversations with us. The bar was located on the first floor and got a free drink just for staying. It was very clean and so comfortable. Tyrik and Juanita are amazing staff!!!!!!

The breakfast was - for an european - a real catastrophe like in all USA Hotels in that price range. Too much plastic.

Food choices for breakfast plentiful. Great to be able to travel with a pet. The place has a 'happening' vibe, and staff was super-friendly and accommodating.

There was only one person filling cooked-to-order breakfast items, causing a long wait for the food. Aloft should consider having at least 2 kitchen people, one to take the orders & one to cook.

The streets outside of the hotel can get loud on some nights waking you from your sleep. The hotel obviously has nothing to do about this but just good to know if you were going to take a small child or something with you.

Location was great, many options to walk or drive close. Small grassy area away from street area was great for pup. Things to do inside was nice. Clean rooms, friendly staff

Wifi was not secure, very slow or non existent connection. Had to scan a bar code for room service food from restaurant downstairs, not able to download program so could not order. Menu on the wall would have been nice to see.

Didn't know there was a breakfast. It was great location for our agenda

The price was extreme. Didn't like the lighting for the bathroom or that you had to have it all on to have the shower and toilet area lit.
