Hampton Inn Cleveland-Downtown

it’s a nice hotel, located close to shops and restaurants. The staff was friendly, however they gave me a room facing the wall. The room was clean and it has a nice layout. the beds were comfortable and nice pillows. The breakfast was nice. The coffee was good. check out at 12!! the hotel is really close to a public parking garage which is $12 daily. the hotel has valet parking but I think it $39. ( I don’t like when other people drive my car+ I always forget something there and I had to go back and get it) so parking garage is best for me.

no microwave nor refrigerator. Getting the WIFE was a little hard, the fields to fill out the info didn’t pop out automatically. Before going to bed I’d like to take a bath, I filled the bath just to find out how dirty it was. I called guess services to complain. they said that no one is available to clean the tub, so I have to switch rooms. I had to change and get down to get the key, picked up everything and we moved to a different room, I went to the bathroom straight away to check the bath and it was dirty, hairs all over. just filthy! I wanted to call again but I knew every room was going to be the same. thank goodness I had flip flops so I just took a quick shower. This time the room had a nice view at least.

Location in downtown CLE was excellent, walking to Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Progressive stadium, Browns stadium, many restaurants so close. It really is an ideal location. Breakfast was premade and was generally quite good. Room (2 queen) was fairly sized and beds were comfortable (although a little creaky).

While location was excellent, our room faced E 9th St, which had emergency vehicle traffic and loud obnoxious motorcycle noise we could hear (8th floor); although that was balanced with a gorgeous view of a Catholic Church directly in front of our window and a partial view of the lake as well as full view of downtown.

The suite was absolutely perfect for our group. The breakfast buffet each morning was delicious and well stocked with a wide variety of food choices. Everything was clean and neat. The staff was always eager to help and made our stay the best ever. This motel is located in a very nice area. It was conveniently located to all the sites that we wanted to visit. We were able to walk a short distance to every venue. I would definitely recommend the Hampton Inn Downtown for families visiting Cleveland.

Nothing.....we were pleased with every aspect of our stay.

Bed was comfortable. Room was clean. Good location. Check out at 12pm was a plus, especially after going out on New Years, not sure if it's always 12pm but I wish every hotel did that. My room did not list that there was a mini fridge and it ended up being in the room anyway, which was nice, just remember to plug it in when you get there.

Only negative thing I would say is that the room is outdated/older looking. Parking is around the corner/across the street in a garage and you have to park at least on the 3/4 floor, but you'll have that all over in the city.

Breakfast was good and the two ladies at the front desk were awesome. They were very helpful and informative. They went out of their way to help.

The Valet when we first got there was very friendly and helpful. However the day shift left a lot to be desired. The was a blonde gentleman who on Saturday, who was not friendly and was lazy. I was standing outside in the wind at the Valet desk for about 15 minutes. I figured they were retrieving a cars or something. I finally gave up and walked inside and the blonde guy was standing there watching me. He finally came up and asked if I needed my car. Then he left to retrieve it. I then noticed the second valet playing on his phone and also ignoring people. It is sad to say these two guys could have ruined the entire stay, but the rest of your staff made up for it.

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of the breakfast buffet. There was always one, if not two, people out by the food area cleaning and refilling the food. GREAT!! The whole experience was perfect. Loved your front desk ladies. Very friendly. A perfect stay.

On Wednesday, Mar. 8, when we arrived in late afternoon, the gentleman at front desk was not very pleasant nor was he informative. He didn't seem to know much about your hotel. Glad I didn't see him again during our stay.

Staff was courteious, friendly, and helpful. It really makes a difference when you show up tired or weary from travel! Also, I attend daily mass and there was St. John the Evangelist Catherdral directly acorss from the hotel!!

There really isn't anything I disliked. We had a minor inconveniece with parking since there isn't anyting on the premises, BUT there was a parking lot very close by!

The room was clean and well appointed. I appreciate staying at Hilton Properties as I know what I'm going to get. This Hampton Inn was no exception. Check-in was seamless, the elevators were quick and the breakfast was hot.

Parking at this location is a bit tricky. We opted to pay for valet parking, which I prefer not to do. But the valet experience, despite being expensive was quite nice.

Lots for standard American hotel breakfast, even some hot options... including lots of takeaway coffee. Solid location near some restaurants and coffee options.

Few vegetarian hot options (for example the eggs usually had ham in them) at breakfast. There was a used mask behind the night stand left by previous guests. The valet fee should just be clearly warned about and marked. I read reviews before the stay and was prepared, but it was still an off-putting welcome. I found few other overnight parking options, so I ended up playing the price. Also, the valet were very hard working running back and forth... I hope they get paid to reflect that!

The staff was excellent. Front desk attendant was one of the nicest I have met in all of my travels. Hotel was in a great location for a great price. There was a hold charged of $37 that was put back on your card when you checked out if you didn't use it in their sweet shop. Which ended up using some of it. Surprisingly their "sweet shop" was very affordable. Chips, candy, sodas, beer, and the like were all very cheap for a downtown hotel. Walking distance to Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse and plenty of other sites. Overall, great stay. Very comfortable.

Parking is not free and there is a hold placed on your card for $37 without notice. Valet is available and there are public overnight parking garages.
