Best Western Cottage Grove Inn

Location was good. Breakfast consisted of powdered scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, fried potatoes with spices, white gravy for biscuits, pastries & muffins, make your own waffles, dry sugar cereals except for granola, apples, oranges, hard boiled eggs, mini yogurts. Not much choice for those who have dairy, egg, meat, caffeine, peanut, sugar & gluten allergies. There was instant original oatmeal packets, hot water, mini almond milks, camomile teabags & the fruits.

Not many options for the above allergies when paying for the included breakfast.

I loved breakfast. I really liked the location. The view was just other commercial buildings and roads but we didn't mind since we only used it to eat and sleep. I think the other side faced some trees. I liked that there was adequate dining within walking distance. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

Parking and access were a little tight but it's obvious there just isn't any other room for either.

The room we had was clean and comfortable, which was a nice surprise given we had to immediately book our room at 11 pm without review. Our truck and trailer broke down on I-5 and we waited four hours for our tow trucks. Our arrival check-in was quick, which was great as we were exhausted! In the morning, when Molly, the exceptional front desk clerk learned of our situation, she offered us late check-out and use of the hotel lobby and breakfast area to sit while waited to hear from the car dealership's service department. Molly's professionalism was awesome, both by the way she treated us and the customers who walked in and those on the phone. She was a shining star during our difficult situation. We also had the pleasure of spending time with Nicole, another desk clerk. She was equally friendly and helpful. Both women are exceptional employees, and we are so grateful for each of them.

The room was attractive and comfortable. I was happy with the cleanliness of it too. There was a refrigerator with small freezer, which is so nice to have when travelling. The breakfast was pretty good, with more of a variety than many and some hot items not just a continental breakfast.

they only have 1 cart to help with luggage and the two times I have stayed there the night shift could not find it. the morning shift looked and had to go get it out of another room. i am older with a husband who could not help a lot with the luggage and we were on our way to a 10 day trip both times and it would have been less stressful after a long drive. morning staff was great.

We have stayed here many times over the years traveling between northern CA and BC Canada. We loved this place because they had an exceptional breakfast with fresh fruit that was more than an apple or a banana. They actually had berries and melon etc. COVID stopped all that. I hope they go back to it after they are allowed to. Made us never question where we would stay. Always booked Cottage Grove Best Western. They allow dogs too which was always a plus. The rooms were very clean. Never knew a dog had stayed in our room previously.

Everything but the beds, honestly. Oh and I did a load of laundry in the guest laundry room and the dryer needs 2 cycles or your stuff is really really damp.

The 3 double beds were terribly uncomfortable, like my 13yo slept on the floor because he was so uncomfortable.

Location was great, beds were pretty comfortable and the room was clean. I wish the pool was open later though...

The computer system was messed up which made checking in pretty frustrating but the woman helping us was great!!

The rooms were clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable. The room had a fridge and microwave. The family loved the pool and I LOVED the spa. Breakfast was delicious.

The bathroom was a bit on the small side. It was difficult to navigate around with my two canes. And it was a bit on the expensive side

Very clean, staff were great. Very comfortable bed. Very good breakfast. Coffee, tea, juices available all day. Glassware was really glass. Hot tub was great.

It was great.
