Cottage Grove Inn

How accommodating they were to me. I am in a wheelchair and they were very nice and helpful.

The stairs. The hotel does not have an elevator. But they did call me the morning before to let me know which was nice. And if I wanted to change rooms but I decided I can scoot up the stairs and I really wanted to relax in the hot tub. And my partner was playing a football game this weekend so they needed in it too after the game. I was told they are eventually making their conference rooms into more hot tub suites which will be amazing!!! Will definitely be staying here again!!!

All the staff we encountered were exceptional - very friendly and made a real effort to meet all our needs. The bed was also very comfortable and the room was very clean. We sat in the jacuzzi outside and although the pool wasn't open, we did dip our toes in it a little. We picked this place because of the location, it is very close to the bike trail out to the covered bridges and also gave us safe passage to the cute downtown area of Cottage Grove. Even though we came during COVID season, we still got a delicious hot breakfast. It turned out to be the best hotel breakfast on our whole trip. Great place to visit, I will probably come again.

The room probably could have been a little bigger but we realized the size before I booked it so no complaints. The hwy is noisy so bring earplugs.

AWESOME big hot tub/jacuzzi in room for a very reasonable price compared to the very few other hotels in this region that have them to begin with. We are repeat customers because of this and will be back. We tell our friends and family about this gem, despite it being 35 minute out of the way for us to stay at. I'm not sure if it's particularly 'smiled on' so to speak by the hotel, but we brought in a queen air mattress for my son to sleep on which worked well because the room itself is much bigger, and has more room free space wise then most all others in general- another plus!

Can't think of anything really, breakfast was sufficient, but could be beefed up a little maybe, but certainly not what I would consider 'lacking' at all..

room was nicely decorated and clean. (I’m a retired housekeeper so I know all the places that are sometimes missed. not a hair or dust bunny to be found) the staff were all extremely helpful and accommodating. also they had a good variety of breakfast items.

Lobby smelled strongly of too much air freshener. I gagged every time I had to pass through

The staff was very, very kind (I was worried since I arrived so late, but both the late night and early morning staff were so bright and peppy; it felt like interacting the waitresses at a diner who call you "honey" and make you feel right at home), and the location was right off the highway so it was super easy to get to. The room itself was very spacious — bigger than most "nice" hotels I've been to (though it's also not in a big city, so maybe this is the standard?). The room had no odor, and no visible signs of dust on any surfaces or oil on the mirrors, or the like. Towels and bedding had no scent (also, no bedbugs! something I often worry about), and the bath had handles for accessibility/safety (woo!). Speaking of the bath, the water was just the perfect temperature and pressure. I know this sounds overemphatic, maybe, but I really am very happy with this visit. If I ever visit the state again, this will be my first choice of stay.

Since it's right by the highway, it's a bit noisy (not necessarily loud, but just omnipresent) at night, as one might imagine. It wasn't an issue for me, but it might be something to think about for someone who's sensitive to sound. Half of the rooms are up a flight of stairs (we were on the second floor), so be sure to check what rooms are available if you have special needs.

Great staff clean manage the reservation as was asked. Great place to stay good food in the morning everything was up to standard and they kept the reservation the way it was and didn’t try to bait and switch or not meet our expectations. We would stay there again it was wonderful thank you very much.

This isn’t fancy, but the room was spotless and comfortable. The in-room jet tub was a welcome relief at an incredibly fair price. We were here on possibly the hottest they have ever had, but despite some staffing issues the crew that was there did everything in their power to get us into our room early and we very friendly. They took a lot of flack from overheated travelers and just kept working hard to make sure everyone arriving was comfortable. Heat Dome and pandemic bubble? This crew just kept on doing everything they could.

The room was nice, well kept, bed comfortable. The breakfast was very nice, the food service are was kept clean during the breakfast period. Well received at the front desk, receptionist very pleasant.

Getting the TV to work had its challenges.

Breakfast was okay, about what you expect with a "free" breakfast. Was not fancy, but towels and linens were very nice. Right by the freeway, but quiet in the room.

The only thing that could have better was the weather. But I don't think they have much control over that.

Cottage Grove Inn is an older motel that has been fixed up to be really nice. Clean, comfortable, modern bedding and amenities. Very roomy and comfy. Nice breakfast room with good breakfast choices.

Really no complaints.
