The Avalon Hotel and Conference Center

The staff was amazing. They understood we were from out of town and have a family member in the hospital that was in a day by day situation. They allowed is to extend our days. Very caring and respectful. Maids came in to take out the trash and deliver clean towels. The buildin is old and beautiful with a lot of charm. I love old hotels! And the parking garage is cool too. It's conveniently located to restaurants and convenient stores. For the price, you can't beat it. The customer service is what made our experience wonderful.

My bed was too soft. That's literally it, everything was great.

The front desk attendent was very helpful as we arrived later than expected. He assured us that everything was prepared for us. Thank you for the assistance.

No opinion at this time as we were there for only 1 night and left early the next day. Everything was in place as expected and we were late getting in.

The service we received was above excellent. The front desk manager, Ramesh, took very good care of us. While this is an older property, you can tell they have been updating the rooms and facilities. We got a real, hot breakfast with a wide choice of food. The hotel is conveniently located in the heart of Downtown Erie. There was plenty of parking in the garage, so it was an easy trip by elevator up to our room without being exposed to the elements. We won't stay anywhere else in Erie from now on.

We were happy with everything. I wish their restaurants were open, but I understand they were still ramping up after COVID restrictions were lifted.

Your front desk staff was absolutely amazing! Very helpful! I spoke to 3 different staff members at the front desk while I stayed there and all 3 were extremely helpful and so nice!!

This hotel is a great value for a hotel in downtown Erie. My bed was clean. The bathroom was clean. It was quiet. My car was safe. Everything I wanted in a hotel stay.

The homeless people roaming about outside was off putting but the hotel has no way to change this. It's a city issue.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The rooms were clean and the furniture and comfort was adequate. The hotel had onsite underground parking. The location is minutes away from Presque Isle state park.

3 rooms were rented: only 1 had a fridge, only 2 had a microwave and some had Netflix etc and some did and some didn’t work.

There was no food available at the hotel. The room was big and clean and the bed was comfortable but the room was cold. We could not get it to heat up. The microwave did not work. Over all it was an ok place to stay, not great.

The microwave didn't work and an open restaurant would have been nice.
