Best Western Plus Wilkes Barre-Scranton Airport Hotel

The staff was super friendly and the facilities were very clean..loved the shuttle as the first two days we were there we were having trouble renting a car. My "wife"and I are disabled one morning I was taking a nap when I woke up I figured she was outside on the bench having a cigarette (bench is a nice touch btw)I ran down to the lobby and heard one of the staff say Sir Sir are you looking for your wife? I said yes I am they told me the shuttle took her into town to Walmart helped her in and out of the van I laughed and said thought she ran off on me lol. The staff was always interested in our "plans" and we're courteous enough to ask how it went and remembering where we went. Awesome Experience

You could use a swimming pool other than that everything was great.

The breakfast was just ok. The pancake machine was fun to look at but the pancakes were rubbery and stuck to the plates. The eggs were tasteless but about the same as most hotels. The bagels were fresh and the best part of breakfast. Coffee was good as well. Beds were comfortable and we slept well.

The counter height in the bathroom was too low. It wasn't a handicap room because it had a regular bathtub. The counter was kids height.

The hotel was conveniently located to the airport. It worked out for us because we had a very early flight. The hotel staff was very friendly and helped us find a place for dinner.

Our only complaint was that the room that we stayed in smelled like old cigarette smoke. This was unfortunate because the room was very nice and appeared to be clean. Other than that, we were happy with the facilities.

Very clean, remote, elevator worked well and parking lot was great. Bed was pretty comfortable, great shower, pretty good tv, and more than enough Ac. They give you till 11am to checkout and a hard to beat room price of under $200 for what you get.

Check in was a little weird. There were two check in hosts one to the very left and one to the very right so we stood there waiting for one to say something and there were also big white tables in front of the kiosks for more distance even though they have plexiglass already. Guessing because the social distancing, space between computer desks, or two lanes incase of a lot of quests at once, but kind of unnecessary. Other minor issues: Mini fridge didn’t work great. It had a weird deep dish tray on the rack so it made a puddle of water the next day and the cabinet creaked. Ac was larger than necessary and can make you cold in bed because it’s only 2 feet away. Pillows also were thick but sunk in the middle. Two pillows made it too upright in my opinion so I slept with one.

Breakfast was adequate. It was a Tuesday and not very many guests but quite satisfactory. The reception/owner was super friendly and I complimented him on the hotel appearance and immaculate cleanliness.

Location somewhat remote and one road in and out. A little confusing even with GPS.

The room was clean and the staff was very accommodating. I appreciated the breakfast grab bag as the normal breakfast offerings were closed because of Covie-19. I especially liked the soft and very clean towels and sheets.

The first room offered on the 4th floor smelled like cigerettes. I changed rooms to the first floor the following day and was pleased with an even cleaner and smoke free stay. Out of the 6 hotels visited in seven weeks in the Wilkes-Barre area, this hotel came in second for cleanliness, but first in overall comfort and helpful staff.

Best place we stayed at our entire trip. We were gone 12 days and stayed in hotels all but three. You’re planning to go back to Pennsylvania works best for that area lava and will definitely stay there again.

Great hotel in the area. Love the pool. Great handicapped room. Upscale environment. Quiet location. Good breakfast options. Love the pool.

Only provide housekeeping services every other day. That's Ok because of COVID but should tell us that during check-in. New towels were available at desk though.

The best thing about this location, was the staff!!! they were so nice and understanding! They weren't tight with anything!!! We really appreciated the service we got from these hotel staff!
