Holiday Inn Express Pittston - Scranton Airport, an IHG Hotel

My GPS didn't recognize the location but someone's comment mentioned it was next to the Walmart, so I found it with no real problem. We got in a little later than we expected and my wife wanted a glass of milk. Celeste, who was on duty got one from the pantry even though everything was closed at that time of day. Thank you Celeste, you made our day and set the tone for the rest of our stay. For those of you who are vegans, the breakfast offered vegan omlets which I have never seen at any other motel before. Very thoughtful. In short this was far nicer than the price would have suggested. I highly recommend this Holiday Inn.

I really have nothing to complain about.

The staff was wonderful. I like the complimentary breakfast in the morning. And the location was good right next to Walmart. I like that they had cable TV. And had a great time on our anniversary. I move mine having my anniversary then again or bringing my children along this time.

I would like to know when the pool will be up and running. That will seal the deal with five star hotel.

It’s located pretty much in the Walmart parking lot and there are many different fast food restaurants to choose from. It’s perfect distance to Montage Mountain, which was our main destination for the weekend. I appreciate the Covid protocols they have in place. The room was very comfortable and clean as well as the lobby, elevator, and hallways. They have a hard working staff ensuring it stays that way. The staff was incredible too! Everyone is so nice and accommodating. Breakfast is no longer just grab and go. They do have some hot options like pancakes, eggs, and sausage. The pool is still closed but I understand it’s for safety reasons.

The front desk person upgraded my reservation to a king suite. That was certainly more than what I expected. The room was very nice, having all the amenities that one would expect from a IHG hotel. I definitely would recommend this hotel to anyone who would appreciate fine accomodations

There was not one thing that we did not like. Everything was great!

Holiday Inn Express in Pittston/Scranton Airport area looked and felt brand new. Everything was clean, bright & new looking. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in a clean, sterilized hotel. There was plexi glass up for the front desk, hand sanitizers out, spaced tables and chairs. Once we got to our room after driving from Maryland to Vermont to Pennsylvania, we were exhausted. We happily got into the most comfortable beds. Honestly, we have great beds at our house but these beds were the most comfortable I've ever been in. And we've stayed in very nice resorts, including Hawaii and these were amazing. The mattress was amazing. The pillows were also super comfy. Coffee in our rooms and downstairs in the lobby. Shower was good. Breakfast was very good. Staff were extremely pleasant. Fitness center was perfect. Several treadmills, cross trainer, bike, lots of free weights and everything was new. We were so glad we stopped there after driving so long in the pouring rain. It was the perfect place to rest our head before we continued our drive the next morning. And the price was excellent! We would definitely stay there again if ever in the area.

The room was clean. Beds were comfortable. Morning breakfast options were excellent.

Sink plunger wouldn't release to allow sink to drain. Contacted staff. Told that would need to have manager check it when manager came in which was after our planned checkout.

It was newly renovated and the layout of the rooms was very efficient. I like the fridge, microwave and the coffee maker. I did not go yo breakfast but I used the coffee bar at night and in the morning.

Well I didn't use it but the gym seemed smelly, that is not good ventilation.

The staff is great. Hot breakfast was really good. Bed was comfortable. Cats were welcome and the room was large enough to accommodate their carriers and our stuff comfortably.

Location was a bit secluded, not much to find around the hotel in terms of food, activities or attractions.

The breakfast was very nice! Small room but very comfortable and suitable.

The thermostat was not working in our room. Staff responded immediately and resolve the issue.
