TownePlace Suites by Marriott Scranton Wilkes-Barre

The room was amazing, it was like staying in our own private apartment for the night. One of the most comfortable stays I've ever had with our large blended family. The indoor pool was great for the kids, and the free breakfast was well stocked and fresh. I think the best part of the stay was the staff...everyone from check-in to check-out that I came into contact with was exceedingly professional, warm and friendly.

Very quite and comfortable. Room was big a roomy to accommodate my family of 5. Close to family activities. A+ to employee "Kim" who on her break jumped in friendly and tossed the football around with our Littles too.

The wear in furniture and curtains appearance caused by pets,from past guests. Breakfast wasn't fully stocked and prepared due to a late employee.(cudos to the employee who step up and attempted to provide something)

Staff was friendly. Room was clean. Comfortable bed.

Did not like the setup of room. The pull out sofa was small and right next to the air conditioner. TV was on the side of the bed. Awkward position watching t.v. Breakfast was a tiny selection and the yogurt had expired three weeks ago. I was also charged more than I had expected to be.

We had been forewarned that hotels were not providing full breakfasts even though it was advertised. We were pleasantly surprised when we saw the variety of items available.

We were fine with the breakfast. Can’t think of any else except maybe some toppings for the oatmeal.

There was a random dude already in my room when I checked in. Even tho rooms are supposed to be fully cleaned and sanitized before new guest arrives. He was just in there with his bottle of lotion on the bed I was supposed to sleep in. Then when I say something to the front desk, he had the nerve to ask me “well can you still stay in there or do I need to switch you?” That shouldn’t be a question! Switch my room!!!

Staff members were very helpful & friendly great location clean & comfortable, slept like a baby! Plus you can bring your furry friend / family member

Light maintenance issues such as the vent/ light in bathroom was really dirty, light bulb replacements in rooms + hallways, elevator inoperable for a day by our room however was operating later that night. Indoor pool/hot tub wasn't open

Rooms were clean ,dark when curtains drawn, and QUIET! Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was yummy. I love having a kitchen in the room with a toddler, it's very helpful.

A little pricey, check in could be just slightly earlier.

Staff could have been friendlier. Their don't-know-don't-care attitude was so painful to watch because on one hand you don't want to assume anything but on the other hand they're so uninterested that it makes the inner-Karen in me come alive. I really wanted to see their manager. Lol. But thanks to the property itself and my company it all ended well, positively. Will return again and won't bother with the reception staff next time.
