Hampton Inn & Suites Wilkes-Barre

I was only at the hotel for one night. Nice pool/hot tub on the ground floor; clean room and very comfortable beds; good shower. We missed the breakfast cutoff by about 5 minutes, but the staff made sure we were accommodated; they also facilitated a few other requests having to do with luggage and logistics -- I don't drive and needed Lyft services and they offered advice.; the manager gave us fresh-baked cookies while we waited for our last trip to the bus station. My son and I were visiting for rather somber reasons, and I was a bit stressed; it was great to have such helpful staff to manage our stay. Really lovely people.

Breakfast started nice and early. Offerings were quality, esp. breakfast meats. Good hot bevs and appreciated them being available all day. Location was central to everywhere I needed to go and easy access to highways. Room was good sized, and got use out of mini fridge and microwave and iron. Shower was hot and had good water pressure. Beds were comfy.AC was wonderfully arctic. Got a great local dining recommendation from the front desk.

Missed housekeeping’s first pass and it seemed like they didn’t come back. Wasn’t a big deal, just asked for service and we were immediately taken care of. It was basically a nothing ,just the only thing that wasn’t perfect

The swimming pool was open. Great breakfast and coffee. There was a fridge and a microwave in the room.

The Hot Tub. Most places have pools but not both!

I called at 10:00pm to let staff know I was on my way. They assured me that I never had a reservation. At one point telling me that there was nothing they could do and I had to contact booking. Wasnt thrilled but evening staff helped me get things straightened and even allowed a later check out so was happy.

I enjoyed the setting. Upon entering, the hotel was spacious and very friendly staff were at the front desk. I didn't try their breakfast. Too many people and one microwave. There are not microwaves and fridges in the room. The rooms were very comfy with a nice size bathroom. Everything was very clean. 2 miles in any direction and you can be at the mall, casino and various restaurants and shopping. I did not try the pool only because I ran out of time. Great place to visit and peaceful and quiet.

No fridge or microwave in the room but as stated previously, plenty of restaurants in any direction within a short distance.

Bright, clean hotel close to highway access. Room and bed comfortable. Breakfast served was hot and abundant in choice. Near a mall with dinner options nearby. Would stay there again.

Really cant say anthing negative except ramp leading to hotel was bumpy.

Great location - within walking distance to the arena and restaurants and shopping. Love the free hot breakfast and cookies :)

Pricey

We loved having the pool and hot tub to ourselves. They did provide complimentary drinks, water and soda, which was a plus. Very convenient to fast food places and sit down restaurants. The hibachi place right next to there is really good! The hotel also let me check out later with no extra charge, that was nice bc we wanted to sleep in.

They did have breakfast but it was grab n go bc of covid restrictions. When we went to grab breakfast, was constantly asking for stuff. Lady was nice to get it for me but I felt like a bother bc it wasn't provided already.I guess that's better than nothing. The room was small for my group 6. (Maybe my fault) It would have been nice to have a fridge in the room. Hardly any space to put away clothes.

Beautiful hotel, great staff.

I loved the hotel, however the clientele was a little sketchy. There was a young women in the lobby in a full length sheer black negligee, 5 inch stilettos' heels and black panties, at approx. 12 midnight. She said the gentlemen she was with put her out of the room and her phone was dead. She begged the Domino pizza delivery person to take her to Prospect street in Wilkes-Barre. She told him she could give him $20 dollars. I do believe she was a prostitute.

Great location, quiet, clean, good breakfast, close to local stores and a variety of restaurants

Price ... prefer 1 night to be $150 or less....preferably $125ish .... maybe offer that to Hampton Inn regulars
