Hotel Viata

Loved the location, as it's a short drive from downtown Austin, and yet removed from the rowdiness that I enjoy - just not when trying to get some shut eye. We stayed in a superior king bedroom; very comfortable bed, a spacious bathroom, and all appeared and smelled clean and fresh. We struggled to open the cabinets for our morning coffee; they could use some maintenance. The pool area is compact though refreshing and a poolside bar makes it an easy space to lounge. JR was the bartender during our visit; friendly, funny and attentive to all guests. We had dinner at the Laurel restaurant; my dish was underwhelming, the frutti de mare however the wine and waiter were excellent. Overall, I would return as I had a pleasant, comfortable stay.

Cabinets for coffee cups were difficult to open. Rstaurant was underwhelming.

Beautiful property. Excellent for a romantic getaway. A little pricey but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. Could have more channels on the TV for the price you have to pay. TVs have the Netflix app but you have to use your own Netflix account, But they do have a nice 55 inch Samsung TV in the rooms. So overall a great experience and a great stay excellent View will definitely stay again when I have extra money. lol

I didn't like the fact that you have to pay $15 a Day to park your own car in the parking garage. Or pay $35 a day for valet. With the daily rate for the room surely parking should be cheaper than that if not free, TV only had about 20 channels Motel 6 rooms have more than that. Would have been nice to be able to watch some movies on HBO Etc, Other than that great stay

Room was great. Catered food was good. They were under construction and so temporary facilities. The valet service was probably the best I have ever had at a hotel.

Temp restaurant was hot. Building sounds. Pool was open, but construction workers present. Felt uncomfortable using it as a single person. The ball room needs much better lighting. It was so dark it was hard to work on projects. Everything else was great, but the darkness in this room would make me not want to come back. Maybe in remodel better lighting can be installed. This is a deal killer for me. Even lighting in rooms was inadequate.

Everything was GREAT!! The staff from top to bottom was VERY polite, friendly, and accommodating. We stayed in the 2 bedroom suite on the 9th floor. Clean & comfortable, with plenty of room for everyone. I will definitely be staying here again on my next trip to Austin.

Bartenders by the pool, during my stay on 8/26/23, need more training on making the cocktails. Especially the ones on the menu. However, they were very friendly and provided prompt service.

The room was beautiful, spacious, quiet and full of amenities. Parking was free for self-park and in an enclosed garage. The in room coffee was way better than we usually find. We didn’t use the pool or gym but they were both nice, especially the pool area.

We felt the on-site restaurant was sub-par, at least the dinner we had there. Since it was the only on-site option and since there were not other places close by this was inconvenient for us.

the entire property was spectacular. felt like we were in Italy. the pool area was gorgeous, nice pool bar. the staff at every location from valet to check in to room service to bartenders to the restaurant staff were incredible. Food was outstanding, drinks were outstanding, views from the room were outstanding. I cant think of anything that could have been better.

We were here for one night. The hotel is North West of Austin proper and just South of Round Rock. The location is in the forest, heavily treed and rolling hills. It was beautiful. The only other structure on the same road as this hotel is the Apple Facility. Since we were there on a weekend that facility was empty. The hotel is decorated in formal, Italian Renaissance style. Beautifully done. The room was large, with a microwave, mini fridge and coffee maker with plenty of coffee and tea choices. The bathroom was extensive, with a large walk-in shower. I slept like a baby in the comfortable king size bed. I definitely recommend this hotel.

There was nothing that I disliked. The experience was great!

The property and staff were absolutely amazing! Even the Bartender Iggy was absolutely phenomenal at creating drink mixes that I highly recommend! One has a really terrible name honestly. I don’t understand why, whoever it is that named it couldn’t justify this amazing drink with a better name. Honestly it is a delicious one with a note of Spice called Pina Mazoul? Pina Mexkeal? it’s Pina something but I highly recommend it. If you get the Bartender Iggy he will mix you the finest drink you’ll ever taste. Cheers!

Everything was perfect.

I like the cozy feel to the resort and the affordability of it. The Spa is one of the best I have ever been to.

The beds are the most uncomfortable beds I think I have slept on. The second night we stacked the comforters together and slept over them to add some cushion to the bed. I would love to return to the resort but I would have to pack a pillow top with me if the resort does not do anything to make the beds more comfortable.

The restaurant Laurel was the best hotel restaurant I have ever eaten in (and I’m a foodie.) 4 meals there and all were outstanding for flavor, presentation, and the menu offered good variety.

Spa is a little small but it was remodeled from the Hotel Granduca, which did not have a spa so they created one. The spa experience was very nice though.
