Aloft Houston Downtown

The location of the property was my favorite because of course it was in the middle of downtown. And I really loved the New Age Decor…. easy to find too!

MY VIEW FROM MY ROOM WAS A HUGE BRICK WALL!!! (my only REAL complaint) well considering that it was New Year’s it would’ve been nice to see a little bit more activity inside the hotel itself. For example football game on in the bar on Sunday would’ve had me spending money inside the hotel or maybe even opening the second floor above the Escalade. If there would’ve been more activities inside the hotel I would’ve spent more time at the hotel and of course spent more money with the hotel I had to go find other hotels to do this

I do like that the hotel is in walking distance to restaurants. I love that the beds are super comfortable, it's quiet, beautiful, the staff was very friendly, and I love I didn't get a room next to the brick this time.

The bar wasn't open my whole trip, there's no complimentary breakfast, and my room didn't get as warm as I wanted when I turned the heat up.

The location was great. I was taking my freshman to college and it was only a 10 minute drive (which was great). The rooms were large. The hotel was quiet. The staff was great and helpful. I loved that it was clean.

I came with my 3 kids and a few friends - it was 3 to a room. My complaints are: the sink clogged as soon as the faucet was turned on; having a curfew for valet was not cool. I do understand that the Hotel is downtown and space is limited, but even though the drivers were pleasant they lacked experience. Oftentimes, there was no place to bring my car for one of them to take and park because so many other cars were just parked in front of the Hotel; I also felt like Cinderella - we (friends and family) had to cut our visit short when we were helping my daughter get her living quarters situated at her dorm to avoid missing the 11 pm cutoff for valet parking.

I loved the friendliness of the desk clerk at check in and check out! Beds were soft and the rooftop pool/ bar was awesome!!

The only bad thing was parking! The hotel itself did not have parking and of course it was downtown. So we had to park across the street in a parking garage which costed us $50 for the one night we were there! Bring that the parking attendant provided us misleading rates on parking! I was so furious! Also, I asked for a great view room however we received a room with the parking garage directly outside the window.

The front desk employees were super nice and accommodating. We live a couple blocks away and our building was without power. We have a fur baby who had to go stay the night with us. Aloft made us feel right at home.

The bathroom floor was not clean. And I would advise that guest understand the rooms are super small and cramped. It was great for just spending one night. Not sure how it would be for several days with a family.

The location was vey convenient since it was a 10 minute walk to reach the George R. Convention to attend a local con. The hotel staff were friendly and the valet parking staff were friendly also. The price was reasonable considering it was located near a convention. Overall had a positive experience. Definitely recommend this place if you are attending a local con and want to stay at a reasonable priced hotel.

When using the dial to take a shower, it was very finicky. It would take forever for the hot water to take a effect, but when it finally did it would get too hot & I would have to shut it off and open it again which would be a little too cold.

Location was perfect for the Astros game. I felt very safe once I was in the hotel, in order to use the elevators your room key must be swiped.

The parking was a bit confusing and due to the reviews about the valet sometimes charging you for an extra day had me worried the day of checkout.

I like the location and that it was close to different places downtown.

The pool area! I think it’s time for a remodel , new sofa pillows some plants and the pool needs to be repainted , it definitely have a excellent view an a hot tub wouldn’t be bad!👈🏽😁

Aloft was located in the heart of downtown Houston with easy access to public transportation, stores, and cafes. Parking valet was convenient and very friendly. Rooms were very cozy and comfortable.

While the property was excellent, most of the stores and cafes closed rather early. However the Aloft staff and in-house services were able to provide food and snacks during the off-hours.

The manager, which was taking care of the front desk because I’m sure they are short staffed like everyone else, was AMAZING!!!!!!!! Boy does she know how to make someone feel at home. She was professional, accommodating and was very informative on restaurants in the area. I think her name was Stephanie (I might be wrong). She will be the reason I stay at Aloft from now on. We need more people like her in the hospitality business these days. Thank You.
