Homewood Suites by Hilton Houston Downtown

Breakfast was great, staff friendly, the ladies maintaining the breakfast area - super nice. The suite was large and equipped with everything needed. Location - fantastic, lots of great restaurants around, everything walking distance. Loved this.

Everything was fine except the fact that I wasn’t able to take a warm shower the first morning of the business convention we had. Woke up at 5am, turned on the shower - no warm water. The front desk told me they would only have a maintenance person as early as 7.30-8am which was super late for me, had to leave at 7am already for the meeting. They offered me to go to another room and shower, but because of lack of time I showered in cold water. I was able to warm up some water in the kitchen and wash my hair in the sink. I think in all hotels there should be a maintenance person 24/7 in case of such emergencies.

I loved the entire room from the kitchen too the restroom it was awesome. The city view was amazing. Everything was clean and furnished. The lady at the bar I believe her name was Kay she had good customer service and made amazing drinks. The food was delicious I wish I had another stomach cause I wanted more but I was so full.

I didn't like how some of your staff was being very rude , disrespectful and discriminated towards my guests . Overall that was the only thing that messed up my trip.

I’ve stayed here before for a concert and loved the area and the staff. We had another concert so I immediately booked here. Everyone was really nice, especially the valet staff.

The minimum booking age is 21 but it did not say that when I was booking on a third party site. The front desk staff did call someone and they said they make exceptions for concerts, but I was looking forward to staying here for our girls trip next year, and we will not be able to. I wish the minimum booking age was 18 or at least 19 so I could book again!

The staff was very helpfull. The shower was great and the bed was confortable. Breakfast had a good variety of food. Hotel was very clean.

The staff at the reception didn´t inform us that room cleaning was only upon request. By the next day, when we asked, it was passed the hour to schedule the cleaning, so we stayed 3 days in a row without cleaning. It was anoying, and it is something that should be said in check in.

location and room were great. Unfortunately i had to leave early so no time for the breakfast.

the early check in fee was a bit odd, I got there at 1 pm so had to pay $25 more to check into a room that was already... the hampton inn and homewood were connected so a bit confusing. also the kitchenette is great but no plates or cups so hard to cook,

Busy weekends always have an elevator backup, so just be patient. The worst I would say (& no fault to the hotel), the drag racers in the parking lots or streets. It's annoying hearing their engines reving until midnight or just after.

We loved the ability to just walk a block down and across the street to the Baseball stadium--we mainly came to Houston to see two Yankees games and our team won both! We also enjoyed the free breakfast which included eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, omelets, breakfast meat pies, oatmeal, waffles, muffins, pastries, yogurt, fresh fruit..... The hot items were different each morning and both were really good. The valet service was a nice touch. It was nice to be able to have our SUV parked in front when we got ready to explore the city attractions and not have to worry about finding a parking space that was safe. The streetcar/public transportation was close to the hotel and we rode it all the way to the Natural Science Museum(get there early to see attractions, very well done, you can spend all day there if you have time)-it was clean, efficient, and the people were nice. The beds are comfortable, the full sized refrigerator came in handy, and the shower had lots of water pressure. The pool is on the 4th floor, so request a room on that floor--it was nice to be able to walk down the hall to a beautiful pool area and gym. The fold out couch was not as hard as one would expect either. We stayed in the room with one room king sized bed with a fold out couch and a little kitchen. We also enjoyed the bar area, good drinks and it stayed open late enough for us who are in our mid 40's. The bar stopped serving food at ten o'clock--so if you are going to the game, you should eat at the game if you are hungry or at a restaurant beforehand. Main street is about five blocks away--easy and safe walk from the hotel and has restaurants ectara... We did the downtown aquarium as well--don't waste your time--just go to the Landry's restaurant upstairs--it is amazing and has the best aquarium in the entire place--food was wonderful but kind of pricy. NASA is 30 minute drive from the hotel and is amazing(plan to spend the day there because it is huge).

2 blocks from Minute Maid Park, smelled great as soon as you walked in the building. Friendly staff and easy to talk to about things. We couldn’t ask for anything better. Great price

The parking lot across the street was very busy with loud cars and trucks. Burns outs and revving engines pretty late at night into early morning.

Friendly staff. All were very helpful and polite.

Would have LOVED to have a removable shower head. I have back issues and it is sometimes hard to bend. Other than that, IT WAS GREAT!
