Hampton Inn Houston Downtown

I liked the cleanliness and friendliness of the staff! And the location! It was also close to the concert we attended and we were able to just walk there. Also there's a small bar with food inside the hotel for food and drinks. Free breakfast was delicious and had a big variety of items to choose from. Comfy rooms and beds with a view of downtown Houston. Pool was nice too! Overall a great place to stay.

No free parking. There is a lot across the street that charges a fee but is not affiliated with or recommended by the hotel. So you kinda have to pay the valet charge for a secure private parking garage. Also there is a cleaning deposit that's pricey we were unaware of. But we got it back after our stay.

I enjoyed having a variety to choose from than just pastries, so it was nice to have some oatmeal and eggs for breakfast as well as fresh fruit. the staff was friendly and helpful. I was happy to see we had a refrigerator in our room as well as storage to put our snacks/food.

I was there for a training so a to go bag would have been nice. I usually like to get to my venue early by 5am so i wish the breakfast was open earlier. But all in all I appreciate having the breakfast and worked around the time it opened and made our breakfast to go to stand in line early.

Overall, everything was fantastic! The breakfast was excellent and everyone was very friendly. Our room was a good size and very clean. The bed was comfortable as well. We also enjoyed the pool and gym.

We were very disappointed with the shower. The water pressure was terrible- it felt like a drizzle. It was better if we made the water cold, but if we wanted a hot shower, it was barely more than dripping. Also, the fitted sheets seemed too small for the bed. It’s not a big deal, but was just a little annoying.

Terrific location for seeing every inch of downtown and Buffalo Bayou Park by foot. Comprehensive breakfast available from 6:00 to 10:00 in spite of COVID-19. Comfortable room. Very good fitness center. Small pool. View of city skyline from my room. The room had a refrigerator but not a microwave. There was an iron and ironing board.

I understand that parking is very expensive, so if you have a rental car this place may not be an option. There was no microwave. The carpet and floor did not feel especially clean.

Breakfast was awesome, wide variety of choices and fresh coffee and fruit. There was plenty of choices and the ambiance was delightful.

I love the extended hours for the continental breakfast.

One working elevator at check out time. No carts for customers to bring luggage down. Line to get in the elevator. Waited 20 minutes. Staff didn’t seem to care. Parking not convenient can’t get to your vehicle if you need something. Probably will not stay here again. You have to have your vehicle out by 11:00 after paying $44 to park and go find someplace else to park and pay again to park. I can stay anywhere if that’s the case. Doesn’t have to be by the Park.

Clean comfortable hotel, good friendly staff, good breakfast included, big room with excellent bed.

Plastic cutlery and plates in the breakast service. As tea drinkers the hot water dispenser was not hot enough. No automatic room servicing unless it was requested

Great location. 1 block away from the Minute Maide Park. The room was clean, and the breakfast was great. The employees were very friendly

Had to pay for parking $50 a day

The breakfast options were great each day! Lots of hearty, hot options. Breakfast style snacks and fresh fruit was available each day as well. Very satisfied with the breakfast each day!!! Very close to George R. Brown(comfortable walking distance).

I wasn’t crazy about the valet costs but in the end they were timely, helpful and professional especially during checkout.

Location was perfect for what we needed.

The parking situation was not disclosed when booking. Then neighboring parking lots fluctuated in price which were said to owned by other people however we seen the signs behind valet stand.
