Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Houston-Downtown Convention Center, an IHG Hotel

overall the property was good, the lobby was just an ok for me, 1st presentation is everything and that area was lacking for me. the Pool area looked ok, I rate it a 3. But the most important is the room of course , the room looked good and the bed , blankets , pillows were clean and comfortable, I rate that a 9, I didn’t rate a 10 because the bathroom walls needed attention. it was a overall good stay, and yes, I would stay again. thanks. oh before I forge my to add 1 detail, the breakfast was good as well . 😁 thank you!

the front staff was ok, not as friendly as they should be, they lack on greeting , and it took them about 5 seconds to greet, and only 1 out of the 2 greeted. the short guy at the front needs more training on his customer service, did not greet at all. front desk rating is a 4 for me. 😒

The breakfast was the best I have seen in a very long time at other hotels, I stayed. The location is fantastic for where I needed to be this weekend. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

The hotel needs to be upgraded in some repair. The carpet can be removed and go with hardwood floors. They should make sure the shower gel is a new or half full. Mine was empty but I did get the small tube left at my door as requested. I didn't get the one complete towel sets I asked for left at my door in a bag on Sunday. Also, at the business center's two computers were not working to access the internet. You had to use your cellphone when you should be able to use the business center. As a matter of fact only one of the computers you could use if needed until the no internet for Sat and Sun.

Front desk gentleman Kendrick was exceptionally professional. He provided fast service, answers all questions and moved us to a new room upon request. Location is great and close to Discovery Green which was nice. Has gated parking and excellent breakfast..clean and well stocked.

One side of the hotel faces a night club and the music doesn’t stop until we’ll after midnight. The music and lights will make the hotel stay unbearable unless you move to the other side of the building. But the hotel can’t control the club so…

The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff were really nice. They were very helpful when I needed to store my luggage during the day.

The location is definitely fine (a couple blocks from the convention center and many restaurants) but the immediate surroundings are a little desolate (parking lots and open lots, freeway nearby). BUT, I felt totally safe. Although, I can see how someone could be anxious.

it felt like I was kinda in the hood for the area, it wasn’t per say. but that was only due to no valet. once we got over that curb appeal it was actually pleasing. there was a rude black female staff checking us in who was inhospitable. the club next door was bumpin until 3am but we were drinking. so we slept hard.

Excellent location for us, our first visit to the USA. The highlight of our trip was to attend a baseball game and the Houston Astros home ground is within a very comfortable walking distance. Good restaurants a few minutes walk too. During the heat wave the pool was a blessing.

Good, but the breakfast menu was almost the same everyday for 6 days stay there.

GREAT LOCATION! Walking distance to Minute Maid park.

Only complaint was our room was close to the highway and the road noise kept me up a lot. Not the hotels fault really but now I know when we go back to request a room on the other end

Great value hotel within walking distance to the Toyota Center. Needs updating, but rooms were clean. Beds comfortable. Good breakfast.

Hotel is located next to a Club playing very loud music until 2 AM. This, of course, is out of the hotel's control. Family was not able to get enough sleep due to the loud noise.

The distance to the convention center is great, walking distance. The breakfast is also amazing and the staff was so nice.

There was a chair in the corner of the room that was dirty. I'm sure it has bed bugs on it because I was the only one to sit on that chair and the only one to get bites on my arms.
