Valet guys were the nicest and on top of their jobs.... They should be running front desk.....checkout at noon was a nice perk.....and we could a stayed till 2pm.....so that was nice......their is no restaurant as advertised online......so don't make reservations......and when we asked about it to the front desk, the gentleman working day shift on Friday afternoon, treated us as though we were uneducated and should have known in advance.....he stated that the website is old and needs updating ...which I don't feel is my responsibility ......but all in all were happy w Marriot

Unfortunately downtown Houston has become one large bed for the homeless criminal world.......fortunately I stay armed ....but to the unarmed it's a very scary experience I'm sure.....even in broad daylight we were cautious leaving the hotel room....we saw people defecating on street ....shooting heroin....and selling themselves.......we are gonna start finding other avenues for entertainment further out in country.....we won't be back to downtown Houston......but we will always use Marriott wherever we go.....they were great.

The hotel is exactly like the photos, the lobby, elevators, and room were beautiful, and I appreciated how well the air conditioning worked compared to other hotels. The bathroom was better than expected and I especially liked the soaking tub. The location was perfect and everywhere we needed to go was in walking distance. Hotel staff was professional and provided excellent customer service throughout our stay.

There really wasn’t anything I didn’t like.

This was a self care getaway for me and I was extremely pleased with how beautiful this hotel was. Check in staff were so nice, the room was so romantic, the view was amazing, and the room service was nice. Some of the best French Toast I’ve ever had. My solo self love/care getaway was unforgettable.

It could have been better if I could have stayed longer I didn’t want the experience to end.

The hotel is very nice. I loved being so close to everything we were in town to do. For reference, we went to the opera and House of Blues. The metro rail is right there and very convenient. Usually hotel beds mess up my back but this one was super comfy. The staff were very helpful.

I regret buying breakfast in advance and I felt it was really for convenience. The continental breakfast is overpriced for what it is. I wish we'd skipped it and found breakfast outside the hotel for that price.

We loved everything about our stay the rooms were nice and comfortable, staff were great as well. Valet makes you feel important they open the doors to your vehicle for you. The rooms were beautiful, bed was comfortable, the hotel lobby was beautiful and quiet. Definitely will be returning. It was our 17th wedding Anniversary and we asked to not be placed by children and the hotel was accommodating. The lighting in the bathroom had me glowing great for people who love pictures lol.

Breakfast was offered for about $24 a person downstairs. I purchased a room with “breakfast included” thinking it would be room service style, however it was buffet style. A good regular hot breakfast, but I would have definitely been able to find something more unique downtown for that price.

The hotel is beautiful. They upgraded us to a room with jetted tub for free and it was a corner room so we had lots of windows. The bed was super comfy and the shower was huge!!

There is no pool. Also the window in the bathroom didn't have the extra pane so you could hear the music from the bars. You couldn't hear them in the bedroom part of the room though.

The smell as soon as you arrive at the hotel is very nice , the decor is beautiful. I love the size and decoration of the room plus the Keureg with lots of coffee and tea . The bathroom is huge and beautiful . The beds are super comfy and the pillows OMG I loved them . The valet parking is very efficient . What I most like it is that we could bring our dog with us , the hotel besides being so elegant and beautiful it is pet friendly , there is a doggy park next to the hotel so it is super convenient. I will stay at the Icon on my next trip to Houston.

Short stay ☹

Everything was amazing. There are some COVID things, sure… no room service and the restaurant was really not worth breakfast. Things are suffering all over right now. But, this hotel is gorgeous, and saves us from a stay on a business trip at a rather unsavory, highway-side spot. The staff is nothing if not incredible - friendly and welcoming snd super duper accommodating, from the front desk to the valet guys - amazing! Just do it.

Breakfast situation need to improve or it will be gone soon. Missing multiple items snd we got there early. Seems like a Sysco truck passed them up that week. But staff was still lovely.

This hotel is gorgeous. The staff was super friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and very comfortable. The hotel gave me major Cable Girls vibes. The complimentary shuttle service was perfect because we went to the RBD concert and made it just in time. Overall, this was a 10/10.
