Hampton Inn and Suites Houston Central

The breakfast was delicious and had a wide selection and the location of the hotel was perfect. The staff was nice and I was glad I had the option to have my room cleaned every day or every other day. I chose every other day. Would stay here again.

The temperature in the hallways was a bit stuffy but not a huge deal. I honestly can say there wasn't much I didn't like except I didn't like having to check out since it was the end of my booking reservation. LOL!

The night before we were scheduled to drive from Middle Georgia to Houston, my Husband was stung by many carpenter bees and was unable to walk without intense pain. I texted the hotel's Concierge Desk to change the arrival date to the next day, Abby A. assisted us above and beyond our expectations. We really appreciate her Customer Service Excellence! In addition, we thank the Managers and Kaitlyn for their assistance. We plan on returning for another stay on our way back home.

The location was ideal with plenty to explore. Breakfast was delicious and the food counter was refilled regularly. Staff did a great job keeping the hotel clean and refunded a portion of our money when electricity made check-out and breakfast that morning impossible.

The only negative is that I had to call twice to get the refund which had been promised at the time of our checkout and after the second time, didn't receive a call-back to verify what refund would be issued, nor to check on our stay.

The rooms in the back of the hotel are renovated and nicer than the original ones. (We had 332 and 432) with usb plugs, a decent remote.

One of the ladies at the reception was taking her sweet time to do her job (huge fake fingernails may have attributed to that as typing was rather difficult) and not really paying attention to what was being said/asked. Breakfast was ok, but staff started clearing away things at 9:45, while breakfast was until 10:00.

Location was good. Breakfast was decent. Wish it had a microwave. The room was fine and comfortable. I love that they had a gate to keep cars safe. The property was very clean.

You can see the upgrades they made but they need to get rid of the carpet. there was hair in tub when we arrived. Breakfast could use some more hot items or microwave. I would prefer grits over Oatmeal. But it wasn't a turn off

The pillows were small and lumpy. I would have liked to have a desk with a mirror so I could apply makeup while my husband was in the bathroom. The breakfast was not as good as at other Hamptons I have stayed at. The oatmeal was watery, the bacon soggy. Other Hamptons had granola and flavors of yogurt other than strawberry. I am allergic to strawberries.

This was our first hotel stay since COVID began and I was not disappointed. My kiddos grew tired of the day’s activities (2hrs) earlier than expected so I called to see if we could check in early & we were able to because they happened to have a room cleaned. All staff I came across were so friendly and welcoming. My family and I were able to rest and felt safe for the night that we spent there. The room smelled and looked really tidy! No stains or marks on our linens, and the bathroom was really clean—no mold or mildew. Breakfast was ok/not many cereal choices (for the kiddos) but it was pretty good! Just to be able to have a fresh, warm breakfast in the facility was awesome. Location was great but leaving (& having to go back on to the 10) was tiny bit more work than I hoped. (The roads in Houston are a mess to me because I’m not used to big cities) I only wish I weren’t so tired so we could have enjoyed more of the amenities. We would definitely come back

Everything- the cleanest hotel inside & out. Friendliest & most helpful staff. Breakfast was delicious & so much to choose from. Easy access to get to from highway. I will definitely stay here again when in Houston

Nothing except the train but you cannot help that.

I liked that the property was gated and the breakfast was great and they also have a snack bar and the pool was great they accommodated us so well my husband and I were so happy with this hotel

The indoor pool was nice and the king suite was really spacious. Love the gated parking

My electric key stop working 3 times during my 2 night stay and I had to go to the front desk each time to get an actual key! Breakfast was good but there was only one lady serving the food. She was sweet but very overworked.. there needed to be at least 2 or 3 people serving the food. It took 30 minutes just to get a waffle because so many other people also needed them and she was by herself! There were also not enough carts for such a large facility!
