Best Western Premier Richmond City Gateway

Breakfast was fantastic, room size and bed size was excellent, huge Samsung TV with good channel selection. Staff were wonderful, helpful and friendly. The hotel itself is big and located in a great place for driving to the various tourist attractions.

Some of the other guests were very noisy in the early hours of the morning, which is nothing to do with the hotel itself. My room had a broken toilet flush (I had to lift the cistern to flush manually) and despite me reporting it to reception after my first night nothing was done to repair or move me.

I didn’t get her name but Wednesday into Thursday early morning shift lady was super helpful given the fact my 3rd party booking ran into issues. She was persistent, helpful, and very courteous in getting my issues resolved at such a late night early morning check’in. She gets 5 stars in my book. Beds & pillows super comfy and room space very sufficient. Rooms A/C was super cold which is how we like and shower and water pressure was good and water hot. Those are my big pet pives. Close to highway & Richmond which was very convenient for my purpose of stay.

Rooms bathroom drywall was cracked and needed fixing and stairwells needed cleaning being we are not an elevator family. All areas where not issues with me but areas in which needed addressing as an observer I am and one who works too in the hospitality field. Property from what I observed gets a 4/5.

Tremendous investment in upgrading the hotel. Very clean room. Super comfortable beds, quiet climate control, spacious bathroom counter, new flooring, local artwork, large television screen, large bathroom mirror with decorative lighting, ongoing quiet bath exhaust removing humidity and odors, new room door, new upgraded hallways, and a huge varied hot breakfast that my high school soccer player grandson devoured. Friendly staff.

Was hesitant about the location, but with a new Starbucks across the street, what was there to complain about?

This hotel with its initial Black gentleman who booked me in were excellant. Further desk staff were not so happy to be working. However cost wise and everythjing else was beyound expectation for price Thanks Mr Drew UK

some female desk staff appeared to be unhappy to be there .... but did give me a free coke ... so all in all the best ive stayed at ...i continued then to stay in your hotel in fredricksburg and in Baltimore ... Good job so far Baltimore on Tuesday Email jd11544@aol.com Mr Drew

It was a nice full breakfast!!

My overall stay was good, My first room the TV didn’t work, they moved us too another room and the heat didn’t work, the 3rd room was good!! Lilian , Mark & Antonio was on staff that night did a good job getting us placed until we were comfortable!! Bed & pillows was comfortable hotel was clean breakfast was good I will stay again!! Didn’t like that the bar & grill didn’t have better hours for dining we wanted to dine in and have drinks on premises but they closed so early!!

The location is right off of the highway convenient for people that are traveling. The floors in the room was not carpeted which was nice and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was descent and hot. I also appreciate the coffee machine with variety of hot drinks available we check in late and the evening and my children wanted hot chocolate. The staff was nice and easy to talk to.

The spout in the bathroom looked like it was about to come off.

I love the comfortable beds,cleanliness of the hotel. The front desk staff are very nice too.

I dont like the prices of their snacks or the breakfast that they offer .It is disgusting fake eggs,no tasting sausage,no bacon at all,oatmeal, not a good choice of cereal,no grape juice. I definitely dontt stay for their breakfast or snacks/ drinks at the front .They are too expensive

The space in the room was so spacious and it was very clean . The breakfast was amazing and there were many options. The time for breakfast was by far my favorite due to the fact that I don’t have to wake up super early to not miss breakfast. that was so convenient. The staff was so fast and easy to work with. The helper in breakfast is on top of everything and is sure to politely address anything that a client needs help with. I really enjoyed my stay.

It's not against the hotel, it's against booking. I booked for 6, assuming since it accepted all 6 and showed as an option this would accommodate us all. To my surprise it was not a suite, and they don't have any on this property. Yes the confirmation only shows 2 queen beds, but I've had this happen before and it was a suite booked when we arrived . I assumed that's what happened this time.

Breakfast had plenty of choices. The attendant of breakfast bar was always available and very helpful, kept everything clean and tidy.

I'm frugal, so room price can always be a little lower. I preferred to be downtown Richmond, but hotel prices there are out of my price range. Best Western local isn't too bad for commute to the city. The only room (313) negative was the fire detector was hanging off the wall by it's wires.
