Hampton Inn & Suites - Richmond - Downtown, VA

I liked how clean the hotel was and how friendly the staff were. The breakfast was also very good. The elevators were really cool too. We absolutely loved the rooftop bar.

Nothing really, we loved the stay. It was a little confusing walking into the Homewood suites and then having to go down the elevator to the Hampton. We were a little confused on where to go but the employee at the Homewood helped us and told us where to go.

The location was perfect for anyone going specifically for the Richmond Convention Center. A quick safe 10 minute walk to the center, with many restaurant options along the way. The free breakfast was fantastic. There is a Waffle Maker for those curious. Friendly staff as well.

I'm not sure if it's the case for all Floor 19 rooms but we could hear the music from the rooftop bar on floor 20. It wasn't too bad but it did go a little late into the night.

It was just a very beautiful hotel. In pristine condition. I have stayed at many hotels in many cities and areas and this has to be one of the nicest ones and I have stayed in 4 and 5 star hotels from Omni, Hilton, etc. The parking garage and location was a little tight but that would never stop me from visiting. I have also been to fancy hotels in Washington, D.C. with new age amenities like TV's in the mirrors in the bathrooms and such. But I have to say, the elevator system was pretty cool. A bit slow, but definitely something I have never seen.

Parking was just tight and I didn't know where to go at first seeing as I had never been in the area.

Convenient location for why we were there.

No hot water, beds are rock hard, the staff are never around to help.

location was cool, and the breakfast was okay. I liked that the floor I parked on had charging stations.

the odd placement of the television and the desk, it was a large room but items were oddly spaces within the area. who wants a desk overlooking the bed, or a television off to the side.

The location was great! Short walking distance to Brown's Island and it seemed like a safe area. The hotel was clean and well maintained and the rooms were spacious.

The coffee in the lobby was out in the morning and the receptionist did not try to replace it or have someone replace it when I notified her.

The staff and hotel manager were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was great. It was also nice to be connected to the Homewood Suites. The hotel was also in a great location. Great for walking and touring the city.

One of the reasons I booked this hotel was for the pool, but found out it was permanently closed when we arrived. Our fridge was not working, but they did bring us a new one quickly. The room looked clean, but smelled a bit damp.

I love the location. The breakfast us always delicious. The buffet staff are professional and cordial. The buffet eating and lunge areas are always clean.

I didn’t like my room. I didn’t like the TV. The room was bland, no character. I thought the room was a bit tight, small. I didn’t like the configuration. I thought the bed linens were a tad worn, they weren’t crisp. The pillows need to be changed. Overall, my room experience was not good. I like the Homewood better.

Breakfast was great and the location was fantastic. The bed was super comfortable.

Most of the staff were lovely but there was one who seemed annoyed to have to talk to us. The extractor in our bathroom didn't work so the room always felt steamy for a while after showers.

tried to eat and drink in upstairs lounge. Service was awful so we left without ordering anything. Run by a bunch of kids who did not know how to greet customers or wait on them in a timely manner. Very noisy with scraping of chairs to reorganize tables. Would not recommend.
