Super 8 by Wyndham Williamsburg/Historic Area

Love the location, and despite reading slightly negative reviews, I'm glad I booked this hotel. We were in the building the office was in and the room was smaller than what we were used to. But it was clean, no bugs, sheets and blankets were clean. Bathroom was clean. The pool was clean and kept up, the kids loved it! Guy at the front desk seemed creepy at first, but after talking to him, he was actually quite nice and funny! We stayed 2 nights and the room was cleaned nicely each day when we arrived back to the hotel. It was a nice atmosphere and comfortable, will definitely stay again when I'm the area!

The one thing about the room was the air conditioner didn't work that great and it wasn't hot in there but it wasn't as cool as I would have liked it. But the room was way better than what I expected so I didn't want to ask for another room for better air conditioning and end up with a nasty room. But that's the only complaint I have about the room.

Lots of cable TV stations to entertain the grandchildren and myself, ice machine was awesome and close, front desk check-in lady on the evening shift was polite, room very clean and nice, most comfortable pillows I ever experienced at a motel, powerful showers with plenty hot water, lots of soda vending machines, housekeepers did a splendid job cleaning the rooms the second day of my stay (thank you). I will stay there again.

Travelers to Williamsburg need to realize right now a huge shortage of help there and most restaurants close 9PM, i.e., reopened Golden Corral, Mexican restaurant (closed 9PM) next to Super 8, and even Dennys closed at 8:45PM on a Saturday night! The Pizza Hut gave us a 180 minute time for delivery. We got another competitors pizza and it was cheaper and terrific. Papa Johns wouldn't deliver there (outside their delivery range). The motel had nothing to do with this; but travelers need to plan to eat supper early.

We had a very pleasant stay at the Super 8. It was clean, comfortable and provided a good base for our visit to Colonial Williamsburg, Jamestown and Yorktown. There are nice restaurants and places to eat and drink on the road (2nd Street) and the wider surrounding area.

Although when booking it said the motel was in the 'Historic Area', it was approx 20min walk to the Colonial Williamsburg Historic Areas of interest but we considered this was OK.

Ms. Emma at the front desk was very nice and very professional. She went out of her way to put us in the best room without us even asking. The property is very well kept and maintained. Room was very clean and even better than advertised. This would be my go to destination in Williamsburg for sure.

They should change the app or advertising ,cuz it says free breakfast in the morning from 6:30 am to 9:30 am. They coffee and drinks. I think

The property was beautiful, clean and updated from my last visit 3 yrs ago. The. front desk was the same owner and just as pleasant and friendly as always. The housekeeping staff was great - the pool and deck area were clean. The whole stay was fantastic and I would highly recommend this location to everyone traveling to Williamsburg, VA. So close to everything tons of restaurants and shopping close by I-64 too. There is a MacDonalds, Hardee’s, 2-Mexican Restaurants, Food Lion grocery store, Dollar Store, 2-Auto Parts stores, gas stations and Family Dollar Store all within walking distance of the property. Who could ask for more. I LOVE THIS PROPERTY -I only stay here when I’m Williamsburg, VA and have breakfast at the Golden Corral about 5 min drive away.

Nothing-all was great

I loved the location. It was very convenient! We had access to a grocery store, fast food, dine I restaurant and all of it was in walking distance! The staff was very friendly and welcoming!

The only problems that we had was the air conditioner was not working properly and the refrigerator was leaking inside.

The woman working behind the desk was very efficient and did her job well. She knew how to handle customers and complaints and worked hard to make everyone happy when she could. The pool was refreshing and kept fairly clean. The staff did a great job with pets and noise control. It was the best deal for the area and close to all the attractions - 2 miles from Busch Gardens and downtown Williamsburg. Restaurants nearby. Had a grab and go breakfast available in the lobby.

The room was musty and had that smell of "old" hotel. The bedspread had cigarette burns and some of the linens should be replaced. We sprayed everything with Lysol and that helped. It was what I expect of a Motel 8 though I had hoped for a little more since Wyndham had bought them out.

It was comfortable for the price point. Room was clean and everything was in working order. The shower was very good compared to other hotel showers.

The breakfast was awful. They only offered cinnamon buns, bananas, and yogurt. The coffee was good but the only choice for creamer was powdered non-dairy creamer. When I booked the room and it said breakfast was included I was assuming it was going to be actual breakfast because it did not state otherwise. Had they said continental breakfast I may have rated it differently.

The room was nice and clean. The staff was very nice and helpful. Kudos to Ms. Emma the receptionist who helped us out with our room. You are a keeper. Thanks so much. The house keeping came by everyday to ask if we needed anything. And I loved that very much. The beds were very comfortable. Refrigerator was nice and clean and defrosted

There was nothing that i didn't like. I would definitely stay there from now on.
