Hampton Inn & Suites Williamsburg Historic District

The front desk and breakfast staff were friendly and kind. The room was very spacious. The breakfast was convenient, and the location worked great for our weekend plans. We slept comfortably on the beds. We loved the fact that the soap and lotion that they provided was in refillable container, rather than one-use packaging. More hotels should do this. We also loved the fact that there was always coffee and hot water in the lobby - thank you!

The breakfast area got a bit messy, but this was more due to messy guests than incompetent staff. This is the issue with most hotels, but the luggage carts are flimsy and difficult to steer.

Spacious room! Amazing continental breakfast! Super friendly and helpful staff. 10 mins to Busch Gardens and Water Country USA=) And even closer to Colonial Williamsburg!

They do not accept cards to pay for items from the hotel, we had no cash. Told to go to Exxon across the street for ATM. They were closed! Had to drive 2 miles to get to ATM. My son had horrible heartburn and had to wait an extra 30+ mins to get relief=( Also, have to request clean towels and sheets. Not just given now.

Breakfast and the room were wonderful!

I hated that it took me over an hour to check in the facility. I had prepaid for the stay and I had a reservation on my phone with some strange number and they had my money under a different name and number. It was hell! I would not leave the front desk until this was straightened out. The manager finally came out and found the issue on the computer. This was the fault of Booking.com.

Booking.com lying to me twice in two days about being able to provide me a receipt. I was brushed off twice when I asked for a receipt for my stay. Both times the customer service reps said they talked to the hotel and the hotel would provide me a receipt the next day. Then, talked to the hotel and they told me they literally said to booking.com reps they did not have a receipt and can not provide one.

We like Hampton Inns due to cleanliness. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Lots of pillows already in the room was wonderful.

This Hampton seemed to be a refurbished other brand. The shower made a pounding noise, but had great water pressure. The TV remote was dated, but worked well. Due to lack of staffing, we picked up fresh towels at the front desk and left used ones outside our door at night, which worked well, since we were only there for a few nights.

The breakfast area was clean and well stocked. The staff was friendly and on top of things (fresh coffee, enough napkins, etc). Nice clean facilities and close to everything.

To be honest, the pool was advertised as "indoor pool" - it didn't say heated. With that said, it seems obvious that an indoor. pool, w/no access to the sun, should be heated. But it was clean and had plenty of towels.

Nice hotel, good staff, good location. Breakfast was hot and plentiful, far better to other options we had earlier this year a few miles from this location. "Suite" style room had a nice size to it for family of five.

At check in, they didn't have us in the suite -- we were given a room key and went up, but it didn't appear to be the suite. We phoned down and they asked us to come by the main desk. The young man on duty was able to get everything sorted away in just a few minutes. A minor hiccup put right in quick order.

Room well appointed. The young white male checking us in was exceptional (do not know his name) on Monday afternoon. He was friendly, helpful & informative. He was always helpful and pleasant when we encountered him. Room was very nice & had sufficient amenities. Parking was a plus for us and was convenient to historic Williamsburg area. Liked the table providing info about Williamsburg that included a travel book as well as info for suggestions for restaurants and activities.

The HVAC was hard to adjust as even on heat could feel cold air coming out. Breakfast was missing variety of creamers & no offering of dark or medium roast coffees. Coffee was not very good. Would have liked to have items delivered to room such as towels & cups as no room cleaning unless requested and had to go to front desk to pick up.

Hot breakfast was plentiful and available every morning 6:30-10am. The wait times weren't bad for the waffle makers. And the coffee and tea were hot and rotated regularly. The rooms were spacious and clean. And the pool was heated well.

No complaints.
