JM Marvel Hotel & Spa

My first 2 nights were exceptional and I don't say this often about a hotel, so I extended another night. I am a General Manager of an International Hotel in Vietnam and know what I am talking about when it comes to cleanliness, service and professionalism. This hotel has it all as well as exceptional decor and concept. It was a pleasure to stay at a hotel that is operating at their normal standards and not cutting corners and blaming Covid-19. Congratulations to a superb team of TRUE HOSPITALITY FOCUSED STAFF, you really are exceptional. I will look forward to returning soon.

1. Location is great. Its located in Old Quarter and yet not at the busiest area. 2. Receptionist Mr Scott and Ms Thom Nguyen are friendly, approachable, helpful and went out of the way to make the stay really comfortable. 3. Very attentive to customers' need. Our limo from Halong stopped the car opposite of the busy street across the hotel, just as I was thinking of how to brave the traffic to cross the street w big baggages and kids, the bell boys already got my luggages even before I got out of the car. Little details like this made a difference. 4. Beds are comfortable 5. There weren't a lot of selection for breakfast but good enough and they taste great.

1. The water temperature during shower tends to get inconsistent and fluctuates. It's more apparent in rooms at higher floors. We stayed in level 6 before my Halong trip and at level 2 and 3 after returning from Hà Long. Problems weren't so obvious in level 2/3, but was obvious in level 6, both the rooms we booked. 2. Sound proofing can be better. Noise from corridor and shower room upstairs were very clear.. But as there aren't many rooms in each floor so it isn't a huge problem to me.

the room was exactly as described and clean. they gave us vouchers, free beer first night, and a free foot massage if we pay for one massage which we used! great service, no pressure. the welcome tea was truly unique too, love it. the service at the front desk and the porters are impeccable. we arrived, and was across the road, they came out to us when we least expect it.

3% surcharge if paying by card but this seems to be the same everywhere for hotels in Hanoi. And if you pay directly via booking.com, this problem don’t exist. lift is a little slow but there are stairs and is not exactly a problem.

Our stay was splendid! The hotel is located in centre of old qtr and it’s very close to all the attractions; night market, train street and museums to name a few. These were all within 5-10 walking distance. The hotel has the best Vietnamese restaurant, Sky bar and spa centre, all of which were very reasonably priced. The rooms were spacious, clean and the bed was extremely comfortable. What makes the hotel stand out are the people! We felt like we were surrounded by people who genuinely cared and wanted to make our holiday special. All staff were amazing, However Scott and Thom both went over and above our expectations. They both did an exceptional job by helping us book tours, assisting to source souvenirs and recommending good nightout and cocktail bars. Thank you team for making our stay so special. All gestures were very much appreciated.

Everything in the hotel including the staff were all good so there is nothing negative to mention.

Immediately when you enter, you just love how the hotel smell. The service from the staff was amazing with great hospitality and welcoming. They gave us vouchers and welcoming drinks at the reception. The food!! I love their food, cocktails, so much traditional, flavour and a variety. Amazing sky bar. Our hotel room was so comfy and clean. Best massage spa I have heard in Vietnam. I even forget I was in Hanoi everytime I was inside this hotel. The breakfast was amazing and delicious. This is a hotel I can book again in Hanoi. Everything was just top tier.

Location great in the old qtr (be prepared for some street noise if at the front), lovely decor, staff very welcoming and helpful. We made a last minute booking due to a change in travel plans and checked in early evening. Staff were very accommodating and cleaned an additional room so our family could stay next to each other on the same level. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Good selection for b’fast in a very nice setting.

Sadly we didn’t have enough time there to enjoy the sky bar and spa which we received vouchers for. Nothing we didn’t like about the property.

The staff were incredibly hospitable and friendly. Every interaction was helpful and convenient -- from airport pick-up, laundry and miscellaneous request during my stay. Mr. Nguyen helped me book a cruise on Ha Long Bay, and then reschedule the cruise because I was sick. During the time I was sick the hotel staff checked in to ensure I was ok -- an extra level of care that I didn't expect. The hotel is near many attractions in the Old Quarter, all very walkable. The hotel is very clean and beautifully decorated, with awesome city views from the bar and restaurant. There was a nice spread of options for breakfast, including several Vietnamese and western dishes. I visited the spa twice for a neck and back massage, as well as a foot massage. I had a wonderful experience with Ms. Ma Hong for both services! She was warm and welcoming, and had excellent pressure during the massage. I wish I was staying longer so I could go back again! The spa itself was exceptionally clean with a relaxing atmosphere. Afterward they served a lovely herbal tea with candied ginger. JM Marvel is a wonderful place to call home while visiting Hanoi!

Friendly staff, comfortable beds, very good breakfast. Although we stayed only for one night, we got some rest to fight our jetlag. We arrived really late to Hanoi because our flight got delayed. They arranged pickup transfer for us from the airport and we got some coupons for free delicious craft beer (and I don’t even like beer) at their rooftop bar. They also upgraded our room to the one with a window. It was also quite soundproof, I don’t remember any noise from the street

The shower door didn’t close completely.

This hotel is located in a convenient location with alot to see and visit places in Hanoi. Staff was super friendly and ensured we felt comfortable and happy during checkin and check out. Bed was very comfortable compared to other places we stayed in Hanoi.

Our room was street facing hence we kept hearing car horns and people talking from the street late into the night which impacted our sleep but we dont think this would be the case for other rooms not street facing.

Immediately on arrival, you are greeted at the entrance and with a refreshing drink.. At check in, the staff is very helpful and will address any issues Immediately should you have any. The room was clean and presentable. We had the pleasure of meeting Vivian during our stay She was most helpful and knowledgeable on our questions. She always made time to do a quick chat on how our day went and gave us a warm farewell when leaving. Will stay again on our next visit
