Everything is brand new! Bed and pillows were really comfy. Lots of guests stay with their dogs (so cute, we patted so many!) yet you won’t get notice doggy smell anywhere, which we loved. We made good use of the free bike hire and rode to the local pub for dinner and a drink. Do try it - great local pub, cheap meals. When we came back we enjoyed a local bottle of wine purchased from Abode’s “pantry” by the fireplace in the communal area at the lobby. It was a great stay and we’d love to return! Complimentary toiletries were nice quality. The staff are wonderful too. A nice young man helped me work out how to get Netflix on the TV. Upon asking for a late checkout the next morning the lovely lady at the counter said I had a 12pm check out as I’d booked the “winter package” which I didn’t realise - icing on the cake!

Only thing I wish they had was a spa and sauna to truly make the experience special in winter. A bath in the room would of been nice at least.

Staff on site very helpful in sorting an issue where we were allocated a room for disabled guests.

Allocating a room for the disabled visitors without telling us at time of booking was very remiss. I complained about this to management in a long email exchange a few years ago.Totally, repeat, totally unsuitable for non disabled guests in my opinion and if anybody doubts this they should try it themselves with an average amount of luggage, more than a single night, and wading gear when you find the bathroom floor totally wet everywhere.

The Abode Murrumbaten has friendly helpful staff who checked winery opening times and provided a voucher for one winery. The facility is modern with a relaxing lounge area with a fireplace near reception and parking outside the facility. There is a pantry where guests can purchase breakfast items and also local wine for dinner. There is a kitchen where guests can prepare and cook their meals and a dining room where guests can eat their meal and mingle with other guests. The room I stayed in looked out on fields and was very quiet, despite the facility's proximity to the Barton Highway

While the beds and pillows were very comfy and luxurious, the bed consists of a top mattress on a mattress base. I found the top mattress moved around alot if you turned over in bed, so it felt like sleeping on a boat on the water. The pillows have alot of filling, so it was hard to get your neck comfortable as they didn't indent where you lay your head ... I was surprised to see a large dog (guest's pet) in the dining room when I was eating dinner. I wasn't aware that the Abode was pet friendly accommodation. Presumably extra cleaning is done for the pet friendly rooms between guests and pets!

lovely accommodation everything is so new and clean. shower was fantastic. great that it was dog friendly and we had a sliding door to a little outdoor area to take the dog out. 10 min walk to the pub we had the best chicken kievs. however it was very cold sitting outside with our dog. we only had an overnight stopover however there are many wineries to explore. we will be back (when it’s a bit warmer)

Murrumbateman is always forgotten as a great location, close to Canberra. As long as it’s okay not being within walking distance to restaurants etc, it should be highly considered, away from the busy traffic. Staff were so friendly and made me feel very welcome which was great after my long drive to Canberra. On arrival, I also got a $10 voucher to the Abode Pantry which allows you to purchase different items from wine to continental breakfast items (like microwaveable rolled oats, cereal) which is what I conveniently did for breakfast. Overall, I would definitely stay again. The room was comfortable and I could go to Canberra and avoid the peak hour traffic of Northbourne in the centre of Canberra.

Abode has a lovely friendly vibe. It is super clean beds are so very comfortable and the room with the little seating area outside is lovely. I can happily recommend The Abode Murrumbateman but please be aware of wildly fluctuating room prices.

After speaking with the manager it depends on the day you book or special events as to what you pay’ eg you could pay $148 a night or like me $716 for two nights. As my grand kids live,on the estate I will have to find other accommodation in the future as $716 for two nights is not sensible when only needing a bed for the night.

clean, modern and very comfortable. the rooms are a great size, we stayed in a dog friendly room and it was lovely. I’ve stayed in a few dog friendly hotel/motel rooms and this one was of high standard!

nothing, it was only a one night stay so can’t complain about anything, we had everything we needed for a comfortable stop over.

Nothing to fault here. Our room was large spotlessly clean, and very well appointed. The bathroom was spacious with a fabulous shower, certainly a welcome relief after a seven-hour drive with a small dog. A small patio and grassed area were accessible via a glass sliding door. A large modern community kitchen with microwaves, ovens, cooktops, table/chairs were available for guests' use, along with free laundry facilities. We left well rested and ready for the next leg of our journey.

Check in was super quick and the guy was amazing, super friendly :) Loved the communal area and that there is a kitchen, obviously did read that when booked as was there for a family party elsewhere. Loved that they sell local wines :) My card didn't work to get me in my room 12am but the on call number was great and the guy at the other was lovely, stayed on the line to make sure I got in my room.

Please weren't the most comfortable, I know everyone has different preferences so maybe a mix of hard/soft would be good.

Super comfortable and modern hotel with plenty of parking. We stayed two separate nights on the way to and out of Canberra. Just a short 30 min drive from central Canberra. Extremely comfortable and quiet rooms. Will definitely stay again.

Only one very small issue where they had run out of pods for the coffee machine in the rooms. They managed to find two for us amazingly!
