Friendly pleasant staff🙂. The location was perfect, very close access to the bus/transit system, pretty much at the doorstep. Our room was maintained nicely every day. We were on the 5th floor, and it was quiet the entire month we were there. We used the pool several times, and it was clean. My mom and I were comfortable there (made it our home away from home) I would stay again, and I suggested that my daughter who just lives down the street from the hotel to encourage her friends to stay there when they come visit from Canada 🇨🇦 🙂 Good fair price! And thanks for the TimTams they were delicious 😋. We bought more to take back home with us. We were happy with our stay. There were a lot of hot days in February, but the air con kept us cool.

The stand-up shower floor is slippery. I used a hand towel to stand on mainly so my elderly mother wouldn't slip. The shower leaked some outside the stall. Again, we just put the bath mat/towel on the floor that was provided. It was not a big deal because there was a drain. The air conditioner did leak on a few really hot days. Staff were attentive and offered us a new room immediately, but we declined and improvised.

This is a 1960's hotel, cared for and comfortable. Nice welcome! The spa room had a brilliant view out over the swimming pool and Pittwater (see photo). Location is opposite a Merivale hotel... great range of drink and foods in garden and indoor settings at midrange prices. If you don't have a car, the Manly to Palm Beach bus stops outside every 10 minutes (we did a long walk through northern beaches and caught the very handy bus back). Very close by car to ferries, beaches, national park and food options. Excellent view from breakfast room! We had a very good time here.

The car park is a very tight fit for other than small cars: plenty of adjacent street parking, though. Noisy air conditioner was dealt with quickly. Few(?) customers meant that the "buffet" breakfast was a-la-carte (apart from fruit and small bakery range): a monster full English breakfast was served instead!! Paying $4-$6 extra for fresh coffee seemed unreasonable in the circumstances (especially as a manager was talking loudly to the other crew members about fees and charges for other services while they helped themselves to fresh coffee in front of us).

Staff tried to accommodate our needs as we were going to an afternoon wedding but we were unable to check in before 2 pm. The room was huge, in fact too big if that could be a complaint. The TV was so far away it was impossible to watch comfortable.

The bathroom was inadequate, squeezed into a corner of the huge room. The shower door had no handle on the inside so it was impossible to shut it enough to stop the water escaping onto the small floor. The carpark was a very tight squeeze, with no room for turning around so you have to reverse out after finding no spaces. We parked in the street opposite the hotel.

The location was fantastic. The pool was right on the water and had amazing views. The rooftop terrace where we had breakfast had stunning views and was a lovely place to begin the day. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating. The rooms each had a tiny little balcony, which was cute, and looked out on tropical trees and plants, offering a feeling of seclusion and privacy, as well as calm. You could open a door onto it and stand outside - gave the room a greater sense of space. We had adjoining rooms for our family and both were very clean, light and tidy. We stayed there overnight for a wedding at Whale Beach and the accommodation was perfect for our needs.

There was nothing to not like. The parking would have been a challenge to anyone not confident in tight spaces.

Our room on the second floor had amazing water views as it was at the back of the building. The pool and spa area were good too. it

Although our room was very spacious the lounge/sofa bed wasn’t comfortable to sit on and was quite faded and had what looked like bleach marks. it definitely needed some sort of cushions to make it comfortable. There were 2 single seats that we used instead. They were a good height to just watch the beautiful water and boats go by. a lounge update would certainly compliment the room as an improvement to my ratings.

Despite some reviews we read we were pleasantly surprised with the hotel - in a great location for the Newport Arms, beautiful views, friendly staff and rooms were clean and large.

The property has some wear and tear (paintwork, crack in vanity and curtains not closing properly) but these things did not detract from our stay and are reflected in the price for the hotel. Pebble dash in the pool needs to be redone, but still enjoyed a morning swim with our little one in the warm spa.

Parking said to be horrible, worked easily for me. Waterfront suite at bargain price. Location next door to the Arms. Magic view of Pittwater. TV a bit small in this day and deskbound..BUT swivelled just right so you could be in the Spa bath (really good) and watch. Large very comfortable and clean bed.

Parking. The tight curves and massive concrete walls around you with no bump protection are daunting for any new vehicle. Age in the property without deeply serious cash spent. Cracks in plastic pieces in room around floor area. Dead carpet. Minute ants crawling through room on carpet as very wet time I stayed probably. They reached the bedside table only after crossing from the window area, quite some distance I'd say. Heavy water flow from up above which splashed all night outside the room, audible even over the TV until sleep....didn't wake me up though. Must be dead plumbing/gutters somewhere.

Love the proximity to all facilities ie; club across the rd, cafes, water, beaches, walks & the size of the hotel (smaller scale) more personal, was my 2nd stay & I’ll be back

Bit noisy between rooms & in hallways, havent had an issue with parking either stay but its pretty tight

I really liked how clean my room was and that there was a fridge and coffee. The receptionist was really nice and helpful.

I didn’t like that the pool didn’t had enough lights at night. And as a solo Traveller I would have liked a lock on my door.

Accommodating, friendly staff. The few issues we had with the room which we reported were addressed and dealt with immediately by staff. Comfortable bed in a quiet room. Great location for public transport with dinner and breakfast dining options located within very easy walking distance.
