Location was key for our choice. Easy train ride from airport to Wynyard and walk to hotel, easy to walk to key sights and activities. Rather small room, quiet to atrium, good air quality, cozy and warm (winter).

The room was compact, but not small. The location was fantastic, a short 7-8 minute casual walk to the opera house and a little longer of maybe 20 minute pleasant walk to the tourist "centre". The room was quiet, comfortable and with aircon. There were even some free movies included on the TV which were pretty fresh out of the cinema (barbie for example). The staff were friendly and the rooms cleaned daily as you would expect.

I'm nitpicking here, but the curtains closed 90% across the window, allowing a small amount of light in on both sides. It really wasn't too bad but it's always nice to have full black out curtains. Overall I really have nothing to complain about, but just sharing a nitpick as being asked.

Good location. Just a walking distance to tourist attractions like Sydney Opera

My wife and I arrived late at night from long flight and we have not eaten our dinner. After checking in and putting out bags away we approached the front desk for directions to the nearest McDonald's. Jonathan who attended to us at the front desk not only told us of the nearest McDonald's at Wynyard, he took the extra step to walk out with us out of the hotel to put us in the right direction. All the staff we very friendly from the frant desk, housekeeping and the breakfast buffet. Location is excellent with Light Rail stops and train stations all well within walking distance. Circular Quay, Barangaroo, Darling Harbour and Pitt Street Mall all very close by.

The Breakfast Buffet spread was almost the same every morning.

Hotel reception staff were very welcoming and very nice during our entire stay. Always attended to our needs. The room and hotel was very clean in all aspects. Location is perfect for the centre of the Sydney CBD for our stay.

We booked a Premium King room but were expecting more open area in the apartment. It was a tight squeeze for the two of us negotiating around the room once we opened our bags. Acceptable for a short stay but would be annoying for a longer stay. The bathroom area was large enough though and comparable to other Sydney hotels.

We arrived at the hotel at 8 AM after traveling for 22 hours from Maimi, Florida. We were surprised, "Your room is ready, Sir." We were expecting to wait till late if not 3:00 PM check-in time. The staff was always eager to help. There was another surprise waiting for me, the internet was secured. That helped me to make some more airline and hotel bookings and use my credit card. If we are ever in Sydney again, I would not think twice, the Tank Stream Sydney is my hotel. My sincere thanks to the staff.

The location was amazing! We were exactly where we needed to be with all necessary things around us. The room was lovely and serviced each day, which was so nice after so many hours of work to come back to a made bed and fresh towels. Breakfast had a nice variety and the restaurant was very cosy.

The mattresses were very worn down, sucken in and not at all back friendly. It would be nice to see foam or liquid hand soap rather than a bar of soap and unfortunately we needed to sew a button and there was no mini sewing kit. Despite the nice variety at breakfast, the hot food was cold or luke warm and the toast always burnt when using the toaster. The hot water for Tea was not hot and when using the hot water option from the coffee machine, it was too much for the small mugs. The staff were mostly friendly but with an attitude like they would rather be elsewhere, they didn't come across very happy at all.

Location was fantastic! Easy walk to Circular Quay and Barangaroo - public transport was close by for going further. Room and beds were comfortable. Free movies in the room was good. Would stay here again as we loved the location.

Our booking included non alcoholic drinks from the mini bar but when we left, they charged for a soft drink and a couple of waters. I followed it up later (once I was able to check my booking) and they refunded but it was difficult.

Really good location, walk to Darling Harbour, opera house, bridge and the rocks. We took the subway from the airport to wynyard and walked a short distance. We took a ferry at the rocks to Manly Beach. For shopping go the opposite direction. We walked to a nice Chinese shopping market for cheap souvenirs and luggage. We used offline Google maps for navigation. Enjoy this clean hotel with great coffee and tea. We ended up staying at yhos hotel already. Thanks Tank Stream Hotel team.

the staff were very accommodating, allowing an early check in and a later check out. Held my luggage for me safely while I spent the day. Location is spot on, close to the light rail, buses and trains, ferries. Walking distance to circular quay and all tourist spots or access to cheap public transport

Friday night can be noisy from the fantastic outdoor bar next door, depending on your room. Noisy until midnight, all other times the room was quiet. The rooms are not big, but comfortable. There is no swimming pool, gym or stuff like that. Book early to get a good rate, otherwise it can be on the expensive side for what you get.
